Why the hell didn't Orlando trade their expirings for Gasol?

We're just not exciting enough for Stern.
They want a Boston vs Lakers final, they'll get it, by all means necessary.

very good point, they have been wanting that rivalry back for years now

really tho, I would be way more pissed if I was a bulls fan b/c what they offered was 10x better

I hope that's sarcasm.

There isn't a trade possible that's even worse then this one.

This has setup all over it...Both teams get RIDICULOUSLY one sided trades to push them over the top.

They both basically got unexplainable steals.

This Memphis deal is especially shocking since everyone knows they couldve got better from other teams.

Nope it wasent sarcasm. Mem was clearly looking for the most simplest way to clear capspace. It would have been more complicated for Mem had we been their trading partner.

Definately.

The draft picks they are going to get is even more horrible,
top bottom. Between 25th and 30th picks in 2008 and 2010.

Bulls gave them a 10000000x time better deal,
a lot of other teams gave them expirings & higher draft picks.
Yet somehow they pick by far the worst trade.

That's not possible, they wouldn't have done this deal with us in the first place.

Expirings I can understand, but they get top bottom draft picks too.
That's beyond horrible by my standards. It's a corrupt trade, it just is. They got so many offers that also included expirings and top draft picks.

bulls basically gave them their choice.

Deng or gordon, both expirings.

Kirk.

Prospects like duhon, noah, Sefolosha, picks.

Last year were offering a big expiring in Pj brown.

Like i said, for Mem it was easier to make the trade with LA than us. Brown took a big chunk of that salary by himself in order to make the salaries work. We would have had to include more players and contracts to get the deal done thus harder and more work. Mem just went with the simple salary dump
