This team is a great guard away from winning the championship. Rush would be a dream pick for me, but since he wont be there, Lee may be that "diamond in the rough" guard we need.

Yeah thats why i left the voting to where you can change it. I want to use the poll as a gauge on which way our fanbase is leaning as we get closer to the draft. Opinions change as more info on players becomes available.

I'd love to have Najera coming off the bench, great hustle guy who can shoot the 3, and is a gritty defender. Sounds perfect for the magic scheme.

Id love to get Speights but i dont think he'll be available, so my next pick is Courtney Lee

But really if we land, one of those 2, CDR, Walker or Dorsey, i'll be happy

BTW, when did Lee get so much support on here? Last i checked everyone was after CDR yet in the poll, Lee is ahead

I went with Hibbert. We can ge a sg with the MLE, which leaves someone to draft that would roam the paint. Having Howard as the PF next to Hibbert would be great; Howard is the exact PF that Hibbert needs with him in order to have a sizeable impact in the NBA.

Well for those who went for Batum this might change your mind at his last workout it had to be stopped because he showed a heart problem. At the time he was going through a stress test and he failed. Just thought y'all might want that information.
And if you are interested in how ESPN judges the big men I posted a link on the draft thread

BTW espn says that after the draft Dorsey should pack his bags and his passport.

My current order is....

1. Rush
2. Lee
3. Thompson
4. CDR
5. Speights

I voted for Lee/Thompson on this thread.

You guys need rewatch this video of Nathan Jawai.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpJszNGH ... re=related

I like Speights and Thompson as "offensive" bigs @ 22, but if we want a defensive/rebounding big at 22 I would much rather take a gamble on a BEAST like Jawai over guys like Lopez, Hickson, or god no, Dorsey! This guy is 6-10 270 and is really agile for his size. His jumper looked pretty solid in that video, and he looks like a damn good finisher and clean-up guy around the rim. Im sorry, I take him over Lopez/Hickson/Hibbert all day, every day. Also, I think Speights' attitude problem is overblown. I never heard anything about it at all until now, and if it causes him(a lottery talent) to fall in our lap @ 22, I would gladly take him.

My order would be something like:

--Speights

--CDR/Lee(who-ever Otis decides is best, I will trust, as I am torn between the two myself)

--Thompson/Jawai(both guys are kind of unknowns cuz of the comp they play'd but I wouldn't be mad with either. Jawai could be worth the risk, big time!)

--McGee/Lopez(They are both toothpicks, but are both athletic. Im not real big on either of them tho but they could become adequate big men in the league)

--Chalmers/Forbes

--White
--Dorsey
--Hickson

--Giddens/Weaver

lol.... dude, that's the Australian basketball league... it's not surprising he looks like a monster, he didn't have much competition...

i can't really comment on the guy, cos i don't watch the NBL for money. but Theg or 1eyedjake might know a bit about him.

I'd be very happy with Speights or CDR. With Lee I'm still skeptical and the other bigs are reaches or useless, though Dorsey at 22 would be interesting. I have an exam before the draft and know I will fly through it to make it in time, hope I come out ok! Oh, and I'd be OK with Batum, though that heart thing was a little creepy. About Hollinger and Dorsey, his form of measurement is good and all, but there are other metrics that say that Dorsey was more valuable to Memphis than either CDR or Rose were, which is win score, so don't let one mans math make your mind up. For me it is just a red flag.

has there been any major interest in Dorsey by any first round teams that may snap him up before we can pick him up with an early second (that we will hopefully acquire)??

I could easily see Dorsey going #28 to his hometown Grizzlies.

Where the discussion left off; on the subject of AK47 and Prince trade suggestions and subsquent discussion. Devin leaves us off with;

Prince, on the other hand, does not have the ball-handling to be a SG, and it would be a disaster to play him in that position.

The cases are perfectly opposite to one another.

In my opinion, Tayshaun is actually a pretty darn good ball-handler.

I really don't know if I buy all of this Tayshaun on the block talk anyhow. Personally, I don't know why in the heck they'd want to trade him. If I were Detroit and I were going to blow it up, he'd be one of the main pieces that I didn't want to trade along with Stuckey, Maxiell, Johnson, and Afflalo.

Yeah, I don't believe Tayshaun is truly available. I would be shocked if Dumars moved him.

Prince at SG? My goodness that is crazy. Hedo is better at SG than Prince.
