The West is LOADED and now the Spurs get to pair Wemby with the 4th AND 8th pick ?? Let the flood gates for talent jumping from West to East open lol.

Getting a vet SG/PG gives Orlando enough rotation minutes for AB, Cole, Suggs, and whoever this happens to be with Jett getting spot minutes at SG.

They are just replacing Gary’s minutes with whoever the offseason acquisition becomes and AB’s minutes with Fultz. Jett is going to get Caleb minutes next season. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s more than what he had last season.

Caleb is staying here and getting more minutes too probably.

I’d imagine Caleb takes Ingles minutes and backs up Franz. Okeke is out of here and I can’t see Joe being here another season.

If Caleb gets big minutes next year we’re not serious.

You have to pay a bit more attention. He has been one of our better shooters, he is 21, most likely he'll come better after the summer.

I am not convinced Ingles is leaving.

Not unless they absolutely have to have the money for somebody on a big short-term deal like Klay.

Exactly Magic have cap space with his 12M on the books. I’d almost guaranteed he’s here next year as the backup 3

Should’ve clarified big minutes. Sure he’ll get the occasional run when we’re up or run into injuries.
Just don’t think he won’t be buried behind Ingles/Jett/18th pick.

Even if he stay, he should play less, age is a factor even if it's the only one.

I hope Cole has his role diminished too, maybe throw a fit and be traded for whatever.

I’ll take it a step further, until either one of them signs with somebody else, I’m not convinced that Gary or Markelle aren’t going to be here next season too.

Yeah...I'm in no hurry to jettison him unless there's something better coming in. I'd like him to play MORE - just don't know if that was age, lack of fitness or what that wound him down. He just makes good decisions...happy to have him but there are others I'd love to have more :D

There were specific buzzwords they used separate from anything they've used before, even saw Mose smiling talking about Monk.

For a team that has never leaked anything, they are not going to be like, "Yeah, expect a summer full of roster moves and upgrades". You kill any leverage you have with pointing out specific areas of need, even if the whole world knows.
I think the odds on favorite scenario is one major free agent signing and no trades. What do you think?

Even though the mere idea of it sickens me, I genuinely think a near full run it back scenario is at the very least on the table.

I did a version of this, but...
ATL sends: Murray, Capela, Hunter
ATL gets: Wendell Carter, Jerami Grant, Malcolm Brogdon, ORL 25 frp

POR sends: Malcolm Brogdon, Jerami Grant
POR gets: Deandre Hunter, Anthony Black, tons of cap relief

ORL sends: Wendell Carter, Anthony Black, ORL 25 frp
ORL gets: Capela, Murray

Capela, M. Wagner, Ware (#18)
Paolo, Isaac
Franz, Houstan
Suggs, Jett
Murray, Cole, vet-Kris Dunn?

*we might even have enough left to keep Jingles, who is really the PG of the second unit and the guy that unlocked Cole's best. We might also taking a big swing at Terrence Shannon at #18(who's built like Anthony Edwards) if he stays out of court.

At minimum, just grab Monk, he's just hanging there, waiting to be plucked.

This trade works for me. I’m not sure about Capela as our starting center.

If they are brought back and get minutes over AB and Jett I'll be convinced we live in a simulation meant to torment Magic fans.

I'm not saying a full "run it back" scenario is likely, but I could definitely see a situation where whatever Weltman's A and B plans are end up falling through and he just defaults to 1 year deals for both Harris and Fultz to hit the salary floor.

I think Trae Young is more likely to be traded than DeJounte Murray. First of all, Atlanta might want cap relief by sending away Young's big contract. Should Magic at least be interested in a trade for Young? I am not worried about the fit here. I just want to know what is the cost to go and get him. That could impact our Free Agency decision also.
