So NOP are said to be shipping out Jonas and Ingram? Are they "reloading" or something?

FWIW I really believed those reports that says Ingram is almost 6'11 in shoes. That is a mismatch on his 3 spot. But if he is just 6'8, then no wonder they are dangling him, he is just in the same height as Trey and a little more in Herb.

My guy. 7-9 player trades when it doesn’t involve a star just doesn’t happen ever.

These aren’t wholesale changes…3 teams, no one trading more than 2 players…pump the brakes with absolutes

Murray
Capela
Hunter
Brogdon
Grant
Carter
Black

That’s 7 players. 3 from Atlanta, 2 Portland, 2 Orlando.

Name another similar trade in the last 3 years that involved this many players and didn’t have a top 5-10 player comprised mostly of starters.

If there’s going to be a trade it will be 1 maybe 2 guys max between 2 teams if we aren’t talking about multiple moves on draft day, concerning picks, in separate trades.

Not a fan of either team... but does WCJ and Cole Anthony for CJ McCollum have any legs? Gives the Magic a nice fit that's also an adult in the room for the young guys.

If anyone needs to be moved it’s Carter. Orlando’s FO needs to figure it out.

If the cost to land Ivey would only be Howard and the Denver pick, of course Orlando can agree to that. I think much, much better deals would be found through out the league for Ivey though. Indeed, even Orlando would offer more.

Moves like this arent going to move the needle enough, imo. Unless hes going to be a bench shooter to give you 18-22 mins.

What you gain in shooting/spacing, you may well lose in defence/playmaking.

We need a scoring guard who can initiate. Doesnt have to be a point guard per se (tho that would help) but needs to be someone who can shoulder initiation responsibility. To me they should be capable of scoring at all 3 levels, even if they may not be great at all 3.

They can be the defensive weak link, but not a sieve that busts open the defensive scheme.

If not totally team first, they should at least not be all about themselves and personal stats and hopefully come from somewhere with PO experience.

Thats my shopping list anyway.

for orlando it should be an instant yes - CJ is 40% 3pt shooter for his career and is a 20ppg scorer in the past 8 seasons. can play pg.
2 more years of his current contract too.

Wendell & Zion?
Heaviest C-PF combo in history? Both being undersized , injury prone, chubby players who are average rebounders :D

he is 6'9 or so, and allegedly 285 pounds. can't have that weight and be all muscles ( well, you can, but you need to pin yourself with whole bunch of stuff )

chubby is wrong word i guess, they are both too heavy for healthy playing .
I played basketball with 270 pounds 6'4 dude last year, it's not like he is not strong and it's not like he can't bounce (guy is genetic freak , crazy strenght, guy is repping 315 pounds bench like it's just bar ) problem is, every time he jumps ,his knees are ready to pop out ( pretty much execlly what happened to him several times). Just too much pressure on joints.

You absolutely grab him as your 2nd FA signing after landing Hartenstein or Claxton. Then trade WCJ/Cole+18 for a guard. Oh man 2K is fun
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.
