So what’s it going to take for Paolo and Franz to be the best versions of themselves AT THE SAME TIME? For as much as a lot of us have been saying point guard BUT what if it’s really just surrounding them ( Paolo & Franz ) with capable WILLING 3 point shooters.

This incredibly young roster has now had, with two postseason wins, the most playoff success our team has seen in over a decade. I'm very pumped about the future of this core. They will make deep playoff runs. Probably not this year, but they will. And with internal player development and the right tweaks to the supporting cast, they'll be competing for championships at some point.

It's great to have hope in Magic basketball again.

Please... no 1 talks about MIA or BOS right now. Thats what happened to the Cavs after beating is 2 in a row. They were already hoping they matchup with MIA beforr even taking a plane to Orlando

Wow, I've watched too much football over the last 15 years. Could've swore we did reseeding.

Been a long time the Magic have destroyed a team in back to back games in the playoffs. This feels historic.

The cliche about how critical game-5 is. Both teams leterally need the win, but ALL momentum is in one direction.

The Magic has held Cleveland three ball to a "high" of 30.8%.
Over 4 games, the Cavs is shooting the longball 32-120 = 26.7%.

Now that the Magic has cleaned up on rebounding differential, I cannot see how one would favor the Cavs in game-5.

Boxscore thoughts:

Start with the big one: Chuma Okeke had a perfect boxscore! 100% in FGA, no TOs or fouls. WOW.

Seriously, now:
Orlando won the FG% battle and won the game.

Three point shooting and threepoint FG% differential were clearly one of the key stats of the game. Yes the Magic was a fantastic 46.2% with their threeball. But the 4-17 (23.%%) defensive threeball percentage is a lot more beautiful to me. Which of course means lots of long rebounds. That leads to stat two.

The Magic again DOMINATED rebounding differential. Up a friggen awesome +14 in this game. That's a real wow. So yet again, even though the Magic shot the ball better, the Magic had more FGA's also (77 to 72).

Some warts:
1) could have been more focused at the charity strip (only 73.7%)
2) too many TOs (17) and lost the TO differential in this one (-2).


p.s. bonus stat. second straight game where the Magic had a player score 2 points per FGA. (Suggs in game 3 and F-Wagner in game 4).
