The very last thing the Magic would want is another draft pick. And Carter is on a very good contact for Orlando.

So flip it around: Orlando's 18, Houstan-or-Howard, and the Denver 2025 FRP for Kennard. Orlando is trading for depth, not assets.

thats a big overpay for a good shooting, but bench SG.

Kennard or another 10 marginal starter/ quality bench SGs are available on the FA market. I cannot see Orlando trading for such a player given the wide-open FA market.

That's my point. Unless Memphis' pick is in the range to draft Clingan, I wouldn't do it. 1 year of Kennard at $15m and the rights to Clingan.

Banchero's agent. Does this mean anything?

How far would the Magic go here in a trade?

Suggs, Black, Carter, the 2024 FRP, the better of the Magic or Denver FRP, the Orl/Wiz/Suns FRP once it becomes something Memphis wants.

I really don't think there is an offer the Magic would refuse, so long as F-Wagner and Banchero was not included.

Mike Miller stays here in Memphis and lol no Grizz not trading Ja. But how are you guys feeling about a Kennard 25 1st for Wendell Carter Jr.
Kennard will likely be an FA, and we could sign him for a low contract. The Grizzlies aren't going to pay the tax. The tax threshold is projected to be $172m in 24-25. If the Grizzlies pick up Kennard's option, they'll be at $175m.

Carter has a lower salary and would put the Grizzlies under the tax threshold, and if we could draft Clingan, I'd do it. He won 2 championships in 2 years.

I said 25 1st not our first this year. The 24 1st is a lottery top ten pick, ain’t no way we doing that for WCJ.

Tankathon has some really interesting players mocked around our general area. There could very well be trade up opportunities too.

I'm leaning much more towards a big trade, but...interesting if guys like Collier, McCain, Shannon, Carter are on the table.

I like our spot. Biggest downside is that we draft after Heat and 76ers, who both have excellent draft evaluators. At least we are drafting before Ujiri.
Da Silva, Filipowski, McCain, Carter, Edey, Furphy, Holmes are all very interesting to me. From later prospects i like Karaban and Scheierman. Dark horse riser Nunez.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

I'd be surprised if we take another guard

I'd like a combo forward. da Silva isnt a bad option.

If Isaiah Collier is still available at 18, I'd draft him. I know I know another PG? lol

I like Shannon's size. 6'7" 225 lbs and plays with aggression.

To me it's either a swing or a big.... I think the front office replaces one or both of Fultz and Harris with a established guard.... Probably Malik Monk next to Suggs, normally I would rather have a more traditional point guard but with the way we play we don't really need one... We just need a guard with solid playmaking skills

Im probably the biggest Duke fan in this boqrd but u gotta ask, why would you want Flip? We already have a better version of him currently in MoeW.

You arent drafting him for defensive purposes thats for sure. You need JI to cover for him as well.

I didn't mention Salaun because I can't see him dropped to us, Salaun would be a steal at 18, he has the potential to be a very good 2 Way player, a very good starter.

For those who speak french https://youtu.be/gu7YjwbGWnU?si=9A_mMV0eD4pt5_aT

Also, French Intels say that Chicago loves him so I can't see him drop to 18
Salaun, Carter, da Silva in that order. I ll be to the moon if we get one of those 3 guys

If the Magic keeps this pick, drafting an upperclassman of need makes and enormous amount sense. Either player looks to be a multi-year backup for Orlando. I think there is clear value in either of these players for Orlando.

Question: do you think da Silva can develop to replace Ingles in time? Or is he more of a set-PF?
