Correct me if I'm wrong but every injury to Isaac I remember was a result of an offensive move. I want him to play with freedom as much as anyone but maybe he should calm down on the side steps, euro steps, jump stops, etc.
I was thinking that. Ban him from playing offense

We have G league allstar squad with Wilson, Mac, Queen and Kevon Harris.

But players there don't really play for team(s) , they play for self promotion, and that's key reason why G league can't be develomental incubator for long. It's more place where players get reps in recovery process than place where you will learn something.

So i have no clue what execlly Jett Howard can learn other than ajust to 3 point range & play against somewhat more athletic players than he faced in college.
Transition to NBA will still be massive change. Queen was literally finals G league MVP and when you put him against nba athletes he looks like average Joe.

Seems to me that the Magic are making Lakeland a real factor in the franchise and player development. They’re getting guys to buy into spending time down there and eventually getting rewarded with solid opportunities in the actual league. Even the guys in the main rotation cheer hard for our G-League call ups. I think it’s telling that Jett isn’t in shape to play more with the pros yet, but he can see from the way Houstan, Okeke and Queen have been treated that he’ll get his shot if he keeps working hard.

Personally, I love how much we’ve incorporated our depth this season even if Jett hasn’t been given much of a chance because I like Houstan, I like Queen’s hustle, I like that Okeke has become a fairly competent connector piece. I’d like to see Jett and Mac get some of those opportunities next season if they’re still with us.

I would have picked someone who didn't need to go to the G-League to develop, or I would have moved the pick.

Ultimately, I just don't really believe in the G-League as a form of quality development. I don't think Jett's experience in the G-League is going to benefit him all that much for next season and beyond.

Jett could be really good, we simply don't know.

But I'm also not one that thinks he needs to get on the floor at this level or his else he should be traded immediately or it's gonna stunt his growth. Like, it would be nice if he were available some games to just fill in but it is what it is.

If we don't have any plans to get him consistent minutes next year in the rotation, then we should trade him. Otherwise, we simply don't know yet, and Houstan is probably giving you similar if not more in terms of just hitting open shots and not having to touch the ball a lot.

I wanted to win and I'm disappointed that we didn't, but we need to consider the circumstances. We've been lucky that Paolo hasn't missed games this season. We hadn't seen it yet before last night, but of course we're going to struggle without him. Not only does he score 23ppg himself, but he generates a lot of offense for the rest of the team. That's no excuse for our embarrassing free throw performance, but in general, I'm not really making anything out of this game. Back-to-back on the road without our best player and we didn't play well. I don't really think we need all kinds of different analyses and breakdowns and hot takes in order to make sense of it all.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Even homers Steele and Turner were clearly having to resist biting their tongues off trying not to focus too much on how BAD the ORL offense looked in the 3rd and 4th...Zero cutting noted by Turner, total iso play - so easily defended.

Kinda just is what it is. Nurse barely has the Sixers cracking 100 points with Maxey-Tobias-Hield, we're not doing much with our ragtag group without Paolo and on a B2B.

It’s was 2nd nite of back to back and 3rd in 4 nites so not gonna hold too much for this game. I’m more upset that we keep losing to that lame Atlanta team. Plenty of evidence they aren’t a good team but we can seem to beat them.

They have to stay healthy going down this stretch. P5 plays and they win. It's going to be interesting how Mosley navigates the ship with a lot of players who get banged up.

We lost 3 of 4 games against them and only beat them in OT. Bogdan was good in all those games because he is 6'7 and just shoots over our defenders ( mainly Suggs).

They are team i have zero desire to meet in playin.

I just don't get how ORL can have great wins predominantly through good ball movement and off-ball player movement and then the next night have everyone just stand around and iso it to death in a loss. It makes no sense to me how easily we abandon on the offensive side the very thing that makes our O tick.

The play-by-play guy for this game was Dante Marchitelli. I am not a fan of his commentary usually, but both him and Jeff Turner were clearly critical of our play quite a few times during the telecast and at one point, after a string of bad turnovers by both teams were laughing and saying neither team would want to look at the video of this game once it was over.

Exactly…they’re clearly not looking to be critical, but it was nearly impossible.

Other dips**t…so sorry I said Steele. Keep up the good work.

I get it. It wasn't exactly an inspiring effort.

But it was also the 2nd night of a back-to-back. It was also the third game in four days. It was also the end of a road trip.

And most importantly, it was also without both the Magic's offensive *and* defensive engines.

If there was ever a game to chalk up to "oh well this one just isn't gonna be our night" it was that one.
