Have to give something to get something. Mo and Franz for a PG and a scrappy 3+D SF/PF.

Start Goga and WCJ to the bench.

Goga should be the starting Center regardless. There was a reason Carter was rumored to be shopped.

It took Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown some time to figure out how to play with each other. I still think it's a work in progress for them. But, they've had a lot of team success all things considered. Our guys are so young. The team needs to add shooting in the worst way to give our guys the spacing necessary to really maximize their skills. Paolo and Franz are an exceptional duo to build with. It is everything else around them that I question.

Yes, but they both can't be this erratic from three moving forward. Paolo is better this year but still not someone you care about leaving open as evidenced lately and Franz is clearly in his own head.

Not at all. You'd think it's the dog days of summer already with a thread like this.

Easy answer. Yes. People are just too impatient these days. These guys are really young and trying to get their first taste of playoff experience. They are working on getting that experience, it takes time. WePark needs to work on adding pieces to compliment them (shooting, guard scoring, rim protection).

So you want to trade Franz + Mo for a player like Franz? OK

I know last year Franz was averaging 20 pts per game after 50 games then he fell off to 18.6 at the end. I know the Olympics are coming up but Franz really needs to take the time to work on his game and get rest in the summer. I think he could really advance his game.

I've been called a Franz hater at various points for pointing this out in the past in game threads, which has been a bit silly as I love Franz and am simply calling it like I see it. Thank you for posting the data to back it up. He has been shooting poorly or flat out disappearing in games against quality teams this season. It doesn't make him a bad player one bit, it simply means there is room for growth against top competition.

Now that said, if he is having trouble against more solid teams you can bet it's because they are scheming around his style of play, as it's what playoff teams learn to do. The Magic have an opportunity to use this data and set Franz up for success, especially with the playoffs on the horizon. It's a bit tough as the Magic are fighting hard to avoid the play-in, but hopefully they can find time to work with him separately on feeling more comfortable outside of his usual bag of tricks. If not, he'll get badly exposed come playoff time.

Both have nice numbers but have a lot they can improve on. We need more time to make these decisions.

This isn’t because of some losses, I truly was curious about the amount of times this season they have both played great games at the same time.

We just need more time. 2nd year and 3rd year player. Franz absolutely has to have at least an average 3pt shot and Paolos decision making absolutely has to get better if we are to rely on either of them. If both happens than we keep both. If one happens then maybe we start to think what we could get for the other. But this is years away.

Personally, I think both get better and we keep both.

Remember after a few games in this year several people wanted to trade Paolo lol. This board is too bipolar.

3rd season is not inexperienced, in my book if by 4th season you are not a star, probably you will never be, there are exception to this rule of course, but it's not a very long list, so im hoping Franz works hard in the summer, it's clear he knows that he should play better.
