Shame on the Orlando Magic ownership!

the fans have endured years of pain and agony and yet stuck by the club through thick and thin hoping to make the playoffs. we have gone to games and supported our club even when they finished the lowest. now that we are in the playoffs the ticket prices have gone through the roof that not many can afford them. its time to sweep the profit and say hell with the people that supported us when they didnt deserve any support due to stupid club decisions through out the years. i for one will be watching my players compete in front of my TV. We are not New York or Miami. we are Orlando Magic, a small market club. Shame on the owners.

They are big into analytics and are optimizing yield. It does suck though.

Inflation is out of control everywhere…. Yet corporations are seeing record profits. This is not just an Orlando Magic thing unfortunately.

OK...salary cap goes up every year. "Yay, we can spend more in FA"

Have to pay for it somewhere. Ticket prices have been absurd for years, then add $25 parking and a few $8 beers. Small market teams have the same expenses without the same income streams. You just can't realistically expect (even rich guys) owners to take big losses on their team operations...some guys love it and will (like Ballmer, Cuban, new PHX guys) but it's not really fair to just say "eat a few million a year and lower ticket prices by 1.00"

$120 for normally $40 seats. I'll pass.

You all can complain but if the tickets all sell out (they will) then it’s called market value.

I looked at the ticket prices and laughed. I get that everything is expensive but that's a little too much.

The Cavs nose bleed sections are cheaper but the other seats are about the same.

Yup, the cavs nose bleeds are priced well, $38. The magic lowest tickets where $75. That's wild. I bought mid tier for game 1 in Cleveland for $150 after fees and taxes. The lower bowls I'm a similar section I kia wherw about the same.

So really they are gouging for the nosebleeds.

When I went I 2019. I paid about $60 after taxes and fees. Mid upper bowl. Those same seats are easily $100 before taxes and fees this year. So they went up significantly.

If they sell out it is market value.

I do wonder if some of the people who are upset are mad that their playoff tickets can't be scalped now.

So, I was going around the league to see the the playoff prices and stopped after I saw Boston and Knicks....Knicks nose bleed sections start at $450+ and Boston $297. The rest of those sections, well... :o

Its already happening. All those $75 tickets have been bought and reposted for over $100 or more on resell ticketmaster.
