Mayo is a better player than Beasley, he was a #1 overall pick just last year, and he has been highly touted since he was like 13...

I want Mayo...

I'd settle for Lee. I'm also hoping we can get 2 2nd rounders (I know, I'm greedy) and get Kyle Weaver, who could actually allow us to play JJ, and Dorsey or Hendrix.

I don't like Mayo's game at all. He is a better scorer than Beasley (which says a lot about how great of a scorer he is), but his court vision and passing skills aren't nearly as good as most mock drafts portray them. If you get a chance, watch the Huntington/Damatha HS game that keeps replaying on ESPNU. Mayo reminds me of a rich man's Jamal Crawford or a Steve Francis more than anything else.

I like Beasley a lot though. I think he's going to be better than Durant, and Durant had a phenomenal rookie year.

I'm really hoping we don't get let down tonight......it seems every year I'm excited about the draft and then boom the Magic blow it. I'm not ready for another letdown

I'm with you on the first three Theif, But I could also assume that Minnie would then Make one of Beasley or Jefferson available considering they play VERY similar games... But yeah, I have been tellin my friend for the last week when He and I do our mocks he should strongly consider Mayo going to Miami, whether it be by trade or pick #2...and the more it looks like it, Minni would be the only team that could work a trade considering they will get either Beasly or Mayo, and both players are really just "redundant" for their team, they truly are not in NEED of either, so they wouldn't go out of their way to please Miami, to grab Beasly off of their hands, and give them Mayo plus another piece...Not to mention they need a Mayo type player more than a Beasly...

Otis better be on the phones. It is becoming obvious he can't just sit with a catcher's mitt and wait for his pick to come to him.

So if Lee is gone, then I guess Speights is the pick (assuming he's still available, which most of the mock drafts project him to be). If Speights and Lee are gone, who will the Magic pick?

otis on trading the 22 pick: "It was creative financing at its best. The money was offered and there was no way we could pass it by"

I don't think Speights will be available at 22. Some mocks have him as top 15. I wasn't wild on Lee anyway. He seems to be a carbon copy of assets that we already have.

Uh, what? Jefferson camps out in the post, where he has a gamut of polished moves. Beasley relies on driving and his midrange for most of his points.

Beasley, has bad handles, and relies on jumpshots and interior post moves, as well as Jefferson, neither have great handles they both rely on mid range jump shots and interior post moves to score..Beasley is NOT a player to drive the lane, especailly when he gets to the NBA, that will NOT happen...I mean they are both quick enough to beat a few PF'S/C's off of the dribble, but that will be on rare occasion..
