lol, yes you were right about Lee...but it has nothing to do with the inaccurate comparison to Dooling...

Interesting that they would say that. Why would you announce it like that? Whats the point?

FYI there is a little breakdown when it comes to the 2nd round selection depending upon which pick they can buy...Dave likes Hill, Weaver and Dragic in the 2nd round, where Otis likes bigs and another player...

It is being said elsewhere that they are also interested in Weaver in the 2nd.

Dragic sounds like an interesting prospect. He's a tall pass first PG. I would be awesome if the Magic could land 2 second round picks.

Well he has to be available for Otis to pick him. My point is, why would you anounce something like that? What do you have to gain from stating to everyone that if he is available we will pick him?

Smoke screen?
Could be announcing that so a team that does want him trades up or trades with us?

you know what, that's a good point

i was just excited and thinking like a fan, but that's actually not too smart, now someone might go and get him earlier...he was projected late 2nd round

bad mistake?

for one I would rather have CDR, better slasher and playmaker with the ball. I think Otis is actually laying his cards on the table, a foolish decision IMO, but he has had a very strong past of draft choices so he must know what he is doing :-? . A 2nd should be had fairly easy and a big shouldnt be out of reach. we will only know later tonight.

CDR is a better slasher and play maker based on mock drafts...

I want Robin Lopez.

Trade up a few spots with GoldenState @ #14 and nab him. (even though might be a reach)
There are a ton of teams shopping there picks in the top 10 and teams ahead of us on the draftboard. Otis needs to be aggressive.

All the big GM's out there are working the phones and trying to get there team better.
(i.e. Kevin Pritchard last year)

I hope we get into the second round. George Hill is my guy. I just wish we we're involved more than it seems. We all know Otis doesn't show his hand, but with his new extension he better have a successful draft.

Is Batum cleared for his heart now? Like he's all fine and ready to go?
And my vote is CDR
