So wait, there is a star behind "ORLANDO"? Interesting. Kind of Phoenix-esque. Is there that weird shading in the numbers to give it that 3-D look?

And Thief, you saw a black and a white one as well?

By the way, great work. I tried making a jersey, but it looked like, well, not good.

I don't know about that star behind the "Orlando" name, looks cluttered to me.

But I will reserve judgement until the final product is unveiled live.

(cuz we've only seen 1/10th of it amirite........)

Yeah, I'm gonna wait until I see the finished product on Hedo. If a hot guy like him (no homo) can't make it look good, then it's a failure.

I worked with Thief making the star bigger and smaller and changing the outline of it, until we were as close as we could get it to what he remembers. As for the 3D look to the numbers, I totally made up my own interpretation to what they would look like, based off of the "20" in the twenty year anniversary patch which had that effect. Remember this was only a wild guess on my part, now aided by someone who saw a prototype. It could be totally different for all we know.

I dont mind the Uniforms. I would have done a few things different though..... And I am using the pic that Favero designed.

1) I would have rounded the collar. I think thats the only thing that annoys me.
2) I would have made the star alot smaller and placed it elsewhere.

Other than those two alterations I like them. It does feel more Spiderman though than Superman :lol:

on two of the mockups i saw, there was a star similar to that behind the type...an no, I only saw blue...not sure about the shading...pretty sure it's just kind of standard with an outline...

How do you think the star looked? Was it a solid color, or just an outline (in other words, was the star filled with a color?)

from the few seconds I saw it, it looked nice enough to me...the star was solid, like a silverish/white color...much like Fav has tried to portray...there is an obvious contrast from the star and the type...

I'm guessing its part of the fabric. I don't think they'd embroider "ORLANDO" over an already embroidered star.

Lost in the madness surrounding the Rookie Photoshoot leaks is the fact that New Orleans is getting new uniforms, and that ours are supposed to be similar to their's. They haven't been revealed yet (though a tweaked logo has been unveiled), but, similar to what has happened here, a mock-up has been done based off of witness reports. It can be found here:

First off, I'll get the negative outta the way...like 99% of this board, I would have preferred black.

However, based on Thief's comments and the excellent mock up by Fav...that looks pretty decent and a whole lot better than my worst-case fear. I think the home jersey will look pretty cool, using that template as a base....

from my understanding, we were to receive black jerseys as well this year...I had not heard anything otherwise until I saw a post recently saying that the NBA was moving away from black as it was "gloomy" which I don't necessarily believe that...

maybe we will unveil the black one's on Christmas. if so we will not see them for another 5 months
