OT: Travesty

Is it just me or does anyone else think it seemd like a very long time for Micheal Jordan, John Stockton, and David Robinson to be voted into the HoF??

Is their a certain criteria for them to be considered? I would have thought that they all made the case and then some.

Any thoughts?

it's the first year they are elligable for the Hall. No insult intended. It's a great class this year.

Yeah, you have to be a retired player for 5 years before you can be voted in.

Well deserved by all, and glad they all got in there, it was nice seeing all those Jordan highlights again, makes me feel old cause i use to see him torch the league during his tenure, as a kid he made me bang my head against the wall with some of the things he did, Stockon and Robinson are amazing as well. wish Bernard King could have slip in but that class is amazing, Sloan and Stringer are coaching legends!

A related note: it is interesting that these three greats put up their shoes all in the same year. It feels like 2004 was not so long ago

Thank you for that information. I thought you could have been voted in at anytime. Well now that I know that we may see Shaq in 2015 if he retires in 2010 like he says and Dwight should be in there at 2029*** If he plays 20 years (that is a long time away!!)
