Jameer has always been lousy on Defense. I mean the guy is really 5' 10" with short arms. That doesn't help guarding nba players

I think Nelson has knee problems. I hope it is not serious but I don't think he has the vertical that he had in the past.

He'd be nice, but the the need for a quick(er) 1-2 guard is even bigger.

Nelson is taller than 5'10.

I've met him several times.

Since when has Nelson ever had "vertical"?

And I doubt there are knee problems.

He constantly get blown by opposing PG !!!

And who is guarding Lebron last night ? Barnes ?
If it is Barnes, I would rather trade him for Antoine Wright

Great another ballboy panic thread

First of all Jameer didnt get blow by by anyone. Mo shot at an unreal percentage over EVERYONE
Barnes did what he could against Lebron, for the most part he took jumpers. In case you've missed the last 6 years of NBA basketball Lebron does that to everyone. What is Antoine Wright going to do about Lebron?

Jameers defense is exactly the same, it hasnt regressed, people just choose to put it under the microscope b/c Mo had a fluke shooting night and we arent 8-0. People need to calm down.

Magic Johnson

$3,5mil of the Hedo TE + first rounder = Magic Johnson

$2,5mil of the Hedo TE = Ricky Davis/Joe Alexander (cheap owners)
Ricky Davis/Joe Alexander, AJ + Matt Barnes + picks/rights to Fran = Shane Battier (they'd make room for their young players, cut salary for 2010, bring over Fran or get another draft steal like they do every year)

Howard Gortat Bass Foyle
Lewis Anderson Bass Gortat Battier
Battier Pietrus Lewis Carter Anderson
Carter Redick Dooling Pietrus Battier
Nelson Dooling Williams

You guys were a better team when Jameer was out, and Rafer was logging bit minutes.

I am not sure Rafer is a good defender, but , at least he paired up better with MO.
MO got us last night.

Rafer is a great defender...probably one of the best at his position short of a guy like Rondo or Heinrich.

He is also so fast, (none of our guards could stay with him) and I think outside of Howard, he was the single most important factor in you beating us in the ECF.

Again, just my opinion.

Rafer was not a good defender either. The Magic were playing better team defense last season, and Mo Williams might have worn down by the end of the season, too. That's all.

P.S. Mo Williams scored 25 points tonight, too. Was Jameer guarding him for the Heat, too? Enough!

Mo is a fluke. Not worried.

Seriously, can we all just agree to wait until this team is 100% and complete for once?

Making up theories about flagging chemistry, the lack of a defensive guard, and all these other things are easy when the team is losing and when it is missing several important pieces to this entire equation. When Lewis is uncaged, and when Garrity back healthy, and we are STILL getting embarrassed out there, then maybe all of this will be warranted. Until then, stop acting like PMS-ing teenagers.

It's not like Mo scored a bunch on Jason Williams.

Oh wait, he did.

But lets just attribute that to Jameer anyway.

this is where the tpe will help, come feb we will know what's needed if it's a perimeter D or defensive PG we can get it, I am all for bringing Keyon back
aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.
