No-bias Harris played some decent D, but we could have gotten that same level of offense and better defense from Matisse.

Ya'll are hilarious, yeah that wasn't great by Jo, but the team would have been blown out without him. They kept giving up leads with the ass bench, and yes that bench came back, but at that point Vooch was hot. Embiid had atleast 2 calls go against him to get him into foul trouble as well. Not sure why Nurse went with Oubre over Batum either. Learning experience, I think the positives are that we were fighting back, and Jo didn't settle for a contested jumper. Oh, and Maxey was non-existant the 1st half, another big reason why we were down often. He has too many no shows in the 1st quarter, and then just hopes he gets it going. He figured out Caruso in the end, but again, it was the Joel show for 90% of the game.

Ya'll keep **** on Jo though. Clearly he's the reason we lost the game lol...

So we can lose them, agree

You wont lose to them, if you are good at it.

You can win 82-0 with 100 NetRtg if you face wizards, pistons and hornets the entire season but when the playoffs come its 2017-2018 season all over again

The Bulls are essentially Boston lite with their big guards and stretch 5 and thus a terrible match-up for our smaller guards on both sides of the ball. Until this team gets bigger guards/wings, it will be the same old story in the playoffs.

It's a damn shame that Springer will never get a fair shot here. Thanks Doc.

Caruso is awesome. I hope the Bulls start to fall apart again so we can get him.

You can’t have a supporting cast that won’t shoot, and Tobias gets paid to be that third option so the heat falls on him first. Oubre not a great shooting night, but he took shots. Tobi didn’t.

Would have won the game with Biid dunking that shot if it was defended by Mike Muscala

A 5 pt game is a lottery a lot of times, this is a professional basketball league, not an anime where you increase your level everytime you're about to lose.

Apparently it's Embiid's fault Tobias only took 3 shots.

The guys are cold
Tobi 1-4
Batum 1-3
Oubre 2-10

Its not like NBA 2K where guys will just make shots because of their shooting rating

Why are we defending stretch 5s like we’ve never faced one before?

I see no reason to post after beating the Hornets, Pistons, etc...

Nothing has changed for me....Morey is a fraud until proven otherwise. He probably still thinks Tobias is really good.

This current team is not making it past the 2nd round.

Not encouraging at all when thinking in our Playoff hopes.

The team will win 50 games feasting on the crappy teams of the league. Once the playoffs get here, we're either second-round fodder or one-and-done this year. Don't get me wrong, I love this team/city. Always will and I'll always support. I enjoyed watching tonight. But losing like this is just the reinforcement I need to know where we stand. We really need to beat Minnesota on the 20th. That game followed by the one against Miami are huge for us.

Otherwise,
Kelly Oubre 2-11 tonight. You can bet on that being what his playoff stat line will look like too. There's a reason he wasn't picked up and it's because he sucks against good teams.

-Once again we got killed on the boards tonight. We've had this problem in the playoffs before. We need to get bigger in certain areas. Put a guy like Jabari Smith jr, Evan Mobley, or Lauri Markannen or Jaren Jackson jr and pair them with Embiid and that will stop happening.

-Guards with Coby White's skillset always kill us. No answer for him tonight. We tried Batum, he got smoked, we tried Bev, he wasn't interested. You want that to stop, then you have to get a defensive player to lock them down. OG Anunoby.....It's pick your poison with this team. Either we find a way to get bigger to not get hammered on the glass in games like this or we improve our defense on the perimeter by adding a big time wing talent like OG. Either that or hey...Here's an idea...Play Jaden Springer more.

- Patrick Beverly as our backup point guard is a problem. He's good at times for us. He has a place on this team, a role so to speak, but he's unreliable as our only other creator on offense. The Mavs somehow lucked into Dante Exum. Why we can't we find a big guard like that to help? They're out there, but we'll have to trade for one of them. In short, we need an upgrade from Beverly. I know Jordan Clarkson is available, but he's almost another Kelly Oubre at times. Still, he'd be an improvement over what we've currently got.

- We need to see the young guys play more. I think both Martin and Springer could stand to get some minutes. Both are incredible athletes, but would help with energy and rebounding while playing defense. Problem is they don't have the basketball IQ that Batum and Covington have. They don't even have what Beverly can offer. It's a tough situation to be in for Nurse, I'm sure. You've got to play the guys that give you the best chance to win, but you also need the attributes that both Springer and Martin offer.

Crappy loss, you could feel it tonight. Bulls couldn't miss from three.

Bulls has 3rd most in clutch games this season, tied with Bucks and just 2 games more than the Celts. They didnt play like a lottery team.

That was a well deserved loss they plaid terrible outside of Embiid. Would have been easier to take if the bulls were unconscious and played really well they honestly didn't play particularly well but enough to beat a sleepwalking Sixers. These types of efforts are why I am always team tobi sucks and I could care less he is mr. Nice guy.

I think that 2 man action is the right one down the stretch. But was Jojo trying to dunk it or was it a floater?

bad shooting night. it happens

HOWEVERRRRRRR

my assessment of the team remains the same.

Good team with a shot at a nice run but said nice run will have to come with some injury and shooting luck. Jo is incredible but just doesn't have the make up to be the closer...it is what it is. That was a better play than the normal dribble dribble fadeaway tho...but even beyond that I feel like we lack top end firepower and also top end wing defense to hang with the best at their best ATM. Not going to fix that in season tho. SO on a hot night or even semi hot night from a rando outside of Biid and Maxey...we can beat anyone. I don't expect a rando to be able to do so for 4 games AND Biid to not go emo or Maxey to get swallowed alive in said 4 games..... Tatum can have a **** down his leg 3 1/2 quarter because he has consistent dudes around him to let him charge up the spirit bomb lol. We need Biid AND Maxey to both always bring their A games no matter what.............and even then the other side of the ball is full of slow footed , short, or both guys to exploit... Colby White has been great lately but imagine what better guards will do to our POA guys lol.

Basically team is flawed in ways I don't see them overcoming atm...and thats ok. The answer may just be reps and consistency at this stage....not massive trades or blowing it up or dawgenergy or whatever. Boston and Denver are better than we are. Their best players are more built for closing. Their co stars are also capable. Boston have POA defenders and high volume shooters. Denver has the latter but their youth also may be able to step up defensively. BUT then again this time last year or prior...the same wasn't thought of them either so who knows....basically until we have a run there is nothing that can be done in the regular season to prove anything has changed sadly...so just enjoy the ride for now

(I left the Bucks out because they have similar issues but Giannis is relentless and Dame still can be Dame...Middleton is the tie breaker but their coach is a bozo so might not matter lol).
