Dirk shot 41% from 3 during his MVP year. So, basically, every Sixers opponent is MVP Dirk from 3. That's coaching

Maybe its because they get wide open looks against the Sixers.

Tom, it's time to write something about the bad start Jordan has caused this team. Why does noone criticize him? We are worse than last year. 4 wins less so far and a loss more. Yet no sports journalist in philly asks Stefanski if Jordan is on the hot seat. We're not 5 games under .500, like we were with Cheeks. We're 10! games under .500 and our coach can make bad jokes about our power forward.

It's time to ask where the whole work they supposedly put in for the defense in training camp is. They're the worst defensive team in the league together with the raptors. That's just a bad joke.

Deepest condolence to World B. Free. Terrible tragedy for a member of the Sixers family.

Sixers staring Iverson, Iguodala, Young, Brand and Dalembert.

Rumor is Iverson will be introduced fourth (with Iguodala last).

Speights did some sprints today and said he's ahead of schedule with his partially torn MCL.

Holiday not likely to play tonight with strained right rotator cuff.

Have to keep all this in perspective...take tonight's lineup, and bring Lou/Jrue/Speights off the bench. Still not better than the Nuggets, but those three injuries (plus Brands) have been huge.

Freshie: At this rate, we'll end up being the Knicks. Score 120, GIVE UP 140..

Remember, that actually did end up happening against the Knicks. 141-127 OT.

Actually, it was his wife.
Police and relatives say the wife of former NBA All-Star World B. Free has been shot to death while intervening in a fight outside her family's Brooklyn home.

There are conflicting stories. Free said it was an ex-girlfriend he hadn't seen in a while.

That's eight of 21 teams shooting 50 percent or better. Opponents are shooting 42 percent beyond the arc vs. Sixers. Second-worst NBA team is at 38.6.

To be fair to those Sixers, a good deal of those 3s were ridiculous 25-27 footers tonight.

Jordan was asked about eight of 21 teams shooting 50-plus percent from 3-point land this season vs. the Sixers: "We’ve got to get better, no doubt about it. I’m not going to make excuses. We’ll just try to put personnel out there that can stay on the perimeter. Right now, our core guys are just not getting out on the perimeter. If we go small, we can probably do it, but then we get hurt in other areas. We just got to get better at it."

Sixers have an uncanny knack of leaving good shooters wide open. From Chauncey Billups to Matt Bonner to numerous others, they inexplicably help and give those guys clear looks. It's way too easy.

Oblivious to the fact that the same personnel was not nearly this terrible at defending the perimeter last year.
