You know who I'd really love to see here, but Shannon, McCullar, or Scheierman would be perfect as well.

I never saw the other three play, so I can't comment on them.

He waited the requisite and respectful amount of time, but it was the only smart decision he could have made. I'd take that kid on my team in a second.

What are you hearing about Reeves regarding the draft? He seems like a perfect 3&D type prospect who could be even more, but I haven't seen him mocked as a 1st rounder.

Did anyone take a look into Ajay Mitchell from UC Santa Barbara yet?

I think he's mocked in the 50s range.

He's listed at 6'5" 190. If the size is legit, I wouldn't mind taking him (even though I don't think we take a PG in this class).

In terms of first rounders, based on the two times Morey has drafted, it seems like he likes freshmen with pretty good analytical stats (Maxey & Springer). Johnny Furphy fits that mold, but he still looks raw as hell (might be a reason Morey would be interested). Kyshawn George isn't too far off from where Maxey was but he's not a foul generator like Maxey and Springer were.

Carlton Carrington is definitely in the Maxey mold, statistically. Would be interested to see his actual measurements and if he could be someone to pair with Tyrese. Shot looks great, bad 3pt% which might not be a true indicator. Bad STL%. Like Maxey, you just have to expect him to be bad defensively and hope he can turn it around.

I'll have to watch a longer game format, but I think this is my guy in this draft in the area that we're drafting. High energy. Skilled with the ball. Clean looking jumper. Mostly created his own looks (17% assisted at the rim, 9% assisted on 2pt jumpers, 43% assisted from 3). Wish he too more shots at the rim and was a better finisher, but there will always be a decent amount of holes in an 18yr old's game a that point in the first round. I think having someone like Maxey around him will elevate his game.

Yea figured as much. Just forming my opinion using Tankathon’s mock, but he looks like a lottery type talent. The numbers hold him back a little, but that’s forgivable for a freshman. Also, his hot streaks were incredibly hot this season.

Yessir both Carrington and Judah Mintz should be on our draft radar with our pick. Carrington definitely more than Mintz. If we walk outta the draft with Bub Carrington I'll be over the moon. I watched Pitt several times this season and he always impressed me.

Tankathon mocking us Devin Carter. Looks like a Derrick White or De’Anthony Melton type.

Numbers look great. Only 6’3” but apparently very long wingspan.

I like Devin Carter a lot. Only real knock, like you said, is his size at just 6'3". I suppose another nitpick would be that he's not a great playmaker for the position.

He's a pitbull defensively, though. And he's developed his scoring and shooting as he stuck around in school.

Personally, I hope we go for a wing with size with that 1st round pick, though. We could always take a G in the 2nd round (Ajay Mitchell, Judah Mintz, or KJ Simpson).

I’m a lifelong Pitt fan so I’d be thrilled to get Carrington as Maxey’s backcourt mate. I actually think it’d be a great fit for Bub too given his strengths & weaknesses. He’s got great playmaking feel, good size, and excellent balance on his jumper off the dribble. His big weakness is that he probably doesn’t have the burst to consistently generate rim pressure in the NBA. Basically, the perfect complement to Maxey & in turn Maxey is a great complement to him.

Carrington had massive shooting slump mid-season but turned a corner at the end of the year after we elevated Jaland Lowe to a starter who is a more natural slasher.

I could envision this team chasing a Batum-like player like Tristan da Silva.

I’m going Carrington, then Chomche, then George as it currently stands. This draft is so bad, so bet on youth over established guys who don’t hit statistical markers. Take shots at them in the second round.

Tristan Da Silva definitely. He's actually mocked to us in a few that I've seen. Knecht for obvious reasons, but I think he goes much higher. Scheierman (spelling) is another name that I can see rising. He's a great outside shooter and we've always got room for one of those. Kevin McCullar was high on my list mid season, but his injury is a bit concerning. Wouldn't be mad if we drafted him anyway. Afterall, it's the Sixer way. I watched Jaylon Tyson a couple of times...I don't see the intrigue other than he has a NBA body. That Cal team had nothing in terms of scoring outside of him. His lack of outside shot is a bit concerning, but like I said, his body is NBA ready so I'd be fine if we took him too. Another player I like that hasn't been mentioned is Pelle Larsson from Arizona. We may actually be able to get him in the second round. He's definitely a NBA player in my opinion. All in all, I like the names in this draft that we've been mocked to. I sincerely hope Morey doesn't screw this up. It wouldn't hurt us at all to take an older prospect in my opinion.

Yeah, I think Kevin McCullar would be a great non-sexy pick.

He's got size and experience. He's a smart player that is strong on the glass and a good passer. He's got some similarities to Josh Hart.

Jaylon Tyson intrigues me because of his combination of size/scoring/passing. I could see him as a Caleb Martin type at the NBA level. Being on a losing team is a concern, though. Although they did win 10 more games this year with him than they did last year without him. So good player in a garbage program.

I think Payton Sandfort is the 2nd round sleeper.

Averaged over 16 ppg at Iowa this year at 6'7" 215 pounds. He drilled nearly 3 threes a game this year and shot over 90% from free throw line. This guy is a sniper in the making with tremendous size. Good passer, too. Check out how damn quick his release is in this video:
