FWIW the Knicks are blowing out Denver. While the Knicks are certainly a good team, Denver is just having an off night like us.

Another benching of Joel for the fourth quarter because he has 30pts in a blowout.

Denver is an NBA champion. We're 2nd round chokers. We don't get the benefit of the doubt.

Absolutely. Losing player. Would include him in a trade for a starting SF and bring Batum off the bench

Yep, need to cut some of the fat on this team. Kork, Martin, unfortunately Springer, and arguably Bamba are warm bodies who don’t provide winning basketball. Cov is tbd, and Morris is fringe even though he provides a spark at times.

Games like this, we just get cooked by their depth. Does it matter much if it’s Kork or Council who are playing?

think his contract makes it tough to move him or something.

Oof Council. Your intrigue is your finishing ability.

He should be part of a larger trade which includes some of the big expiring contracts

the fact that Biid NEEDED to score at least 59 to beat the Spurs shows that things can't continue like this. Biid scoring this much and always being about 30 is cool but has shown to not be always available in the post season and in the losses this year it has been due to us trading tough 2s and FTs for 3s or bulk fastbreaks and we simply don't have the fire power to come back.

get more athletes and guys who can bomb 3s (This is where Oubre falling off hurts...because he was that).

Again IDK who, where or how but yeah if nothing is done...we will be in the playoffs hoping that Biid has legs to hit his shots all the time and also lock down the paint and also not get hurt...which I love the guy...not likely. SO the hope lies on Maxey being hot and Nurse being such an upgrade that it won't matter....and idk if thats enough.

BUT as for tonight..bad matchup and short handed...is what it is

This game is illustrative of the difference between regular season and playoff basketball. Depth doesn't matter past 8 guys and effort and load management are much different. The reasons the Pacers are killing us matter little in a playoff series.
