I know this would never happen but just for the h-ll of it:

Philadelphia Trade Breakdown
Change in Team Outlook: +2.7 ppg, -6.7 rpg, and -1.3 apg.
Incoming Players
Linas Kleiza
6-8 SF / PF from Missouri
11.1 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 1.2 apg in 23.9 minutes
Allen Iverson
6-0 SG from Georgetown
26.4 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 7.2 apg in 41.8 minutes
Outgoing Players
Willie Green
6-2 SG from Detroit Mercy
12.4 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 2.0 apg in 26.6 minutes
Reggie Evans
6-8 PF from Iowa
5.3 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 0.8 apg in 23.2 minutes
Andre Miller
6-2 PG from Utah
17.1 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 6.9 apg in 36.8 minutes

Denver Trade Breakdown
Change in Team Outlook: -2.7 ppg, +6.7 rpg, and +1.3 apg.
Incoming Players
Willie Green
6-2 SG from Detroit Mercy
12.4 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 2.0 apg in 26.6 minutes
Reggie Evans
6-8 PF from Iowa
5.3 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 0.8 apg in 23.2 minutes
Andre Miller
6-2 PG from Utah
17.1 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 6.9 apg in 36.8 minutes
Outgoing Players
Linas Kleiza
6-8 SF / PF from Missouri
11.1 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 1.2 apg in 23.9 minutes
Allen Iverson
6-0 SG from Georgetown
26.4 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 7.2 apg in 41.8 minutes

Iverson/Lwill
Iggy/Rush
Thad/Kleiza
Brand/Speights
Daly/Theo

That lineup is pretty explosive.

This would give the nuggets back their setup pg (dual star experiment over)

Question: If we didnt want to keep him, Would Iversons expiring bring us back under the cap ?

Botton-line : I like Kleiza, I think he would be a great backup to Thad, he brings scoring and the ability to spread the floor and Id definitly be willing to use the MLE (or part of it) on him when he becomes available(maybe) next summer

You are right - it would never happen. It would never happen because Denver would hang up the phone. Why would Denver, a team in cost cutting mode, be taking on extra years and extra salary while taking older and inferior players in return? And Iverson and Lou Williams are not the best idea at PG.

Or to put it another way that leaves no real PGs on the roster........

Probably time to close this thread. Season is but a few days away. Maybe we can start a new one that focuses on the season.

Agree...may be time for a new trade thread...09 version.

One thing that still plays in my mind is ultimately what to do with Andre Miller. Yes, you keep him for the current season, but I hate the fact that they may lose him for nothing after the season. The only way you can benefit from his expiring deal is to move him, and I struggle with the +/- of dealing him before the deadline for a young PG. It will be interesting to see where the Sixers are in the standings and what they do with Miller. If signs are strong that he's not resigning, would you move him?

i am guessing that the sixers are feeling out millers agent to see if he will accept a cheap 3 year deal. if the answer comes back no then they will have to consider moving him before the deadline.in the meantime we can expect more pg time for lou will..whether or not miller signs..miller wont be the starer if/when we are serious contenders to win it all.so,yes i would trade miller..hes just not that big a deal going forward with this young team

He really isn't. I'd take a look at teams around the league that need an expiring+ A PG and use that leverage to pull in a star caliber player. Think Ben Gordan. Gordan is still coming off the bench, in that crowded back-court. He wouldn't have as much compeitition here. Green's a chucker, Ivey is situational and Lou Will would be the main PG at that point.

Ben Gordan in a Sixers Uniform. Our shooting has improved it seems, but man Gordan would take us to new heights. And hopefully Gordan will come to understand that guards of his caliber do not get 12 million dollar deals.
