In a sick perverse way you have to give credit to the Sixers for sitting there three best players for a National game with one of them wasnt even on the injury report one day earlier. Wasnt there talk of putting penalties for that sort of thing for national games in the new cba? Cavs and Knick both within 2 in the loss column but hey all we need is edge moves! Our terrible record against over .500 teams is all injury related!

Obviously never expected to win this one, but it was a good effort. Almost stole one.

Best part is Jo talking about only caring about winning a title, but then keeping himself in blowout games to make sure he gets his 30-10.

The team does not think they have a shot this year. They would be acting much differently if they truly thought they did.

I do also think the league fines them for sitting Jo in Denver again.

Harden did not suddenly become a clutch player.

And Kawhi and PG haven't been hurt yet.

Clippers get zero benefit of the doubt.

Either he is too injury prone or under performed on big moment or both. Just not a guy worth to be believed if your goal is to win a title.

It's a fair sentiment. The big fella gets another opportunity to disprove the narrative in a couple of months.

Im hoping Biid not playing this game shows he’s not going after the MVP award anymore and is really focused on getting the championship.

So avoiding games against potential finals opponents shows he’s serious about winning the championship?

If we don't make a move soon, we'll be lucky to have homecourt advantage in the playoffs.

New York looks better than us. Cleveland is persistent. Slowly losing faith in this season.

Prime Directive is Embiid reaching the 2nd round healthy. If we can add Caruso, etc. to our current best 7 rotation, and Jo can avoid the late injury, we finally got the coach who can land this thing.

He only got 6 games to miss after this for him to be eligible for MVP

It is absolutely justified, 5 times in a row Embiid has avoided playing in Denver, against the other best player in the league. It's going to get noticed, Jokic never (that I can remember) skips the game in Philadelphia.

They don't have a shot this year without adding another scorer. Tobias ain't about to fool me. Joel is averaging 36 because the team ain't good enough, and defenses will force others to beat them on every Joel catch in the playoffs.

Problem is, they don't have a shot this year and didn't have a shot last year and the other and the other, over and over, perennial 2nd round fodder. Not every year one can be a contender for the title, but we have never really been a good enough contender.

So I read a quote by Embiid and he said he had all intentions of playing in Denver in the high altitude. But Maxey was not playing Harris was not playing, and the medical staff said he could cause damage to his knee. He realized he was at a distinct disadvantage. And he is putting up better numbers now than he was last year when he won the MVP so......! He also said

"When traveling to Denver they will be fresh for the fight; whoever is second, and shorthanded, the 76ers, to the the arena and has to hasten to play will arrive exhausted and lose. If you don't believe me ask Sun Tuz !"
