Averaged over 16 ppg at Iowa this year at 6'7" 215 pounds. He drilled nearly 3 threes a game this year and shot over 90% from free throw line. This guy is a sniper in the making with tremendous size. Good passer, too. Check out how damn quick his release is in this video:

Sandfort has the confidence and cockiness to make it in the league. His shooting alone will get him drafted, but I could see him finding minutes on a team as early as year one in the league. If Duncan Robinson can carve out a career, so can Sandfort.

Damn, that kid is pure. Off the bounce, coming off of screens, in transition, catch and shoot - that quick release is always there. Another kid I'd love to see here.

Yup, I feel like a movement shooter with size like Sandfort would be an absolute weapon in Nurse' offense, playing off Embiid and Maxey.

I feel really good about being able to land a quality big in the 2nd round or signing one as an undrafted free agent.

PJ Hall
Johni Broome
Ryan Kalkbrenner

I think all of these guys can play in the league and none are getting much love in mocks.

I think Johni Broome announced he is returning. I might have seen Kalkbrenner is leaning towards returning, but could be wrong about that one.

Assuming they keep their 1st round pick, which I really hope is the case, I would much rather see a wing who can shoot as the target, for exactly the reason you said. We have no idea if Oubre or Batum will be here, and even so we have seen the importance to this system of having that type of athletic wing who can shoot and get to the rim.

The solace of throwing PG13 an obscene contract is that we’d likely have to keep our first to fill out the team, right?

Damn, that would really deplete the big depth is this draft. Maybe we skip going big and just look for another vet minimum signing for depth behind Embiid.

Tristan da Silva would be a nice edition to this squad: 49.3/39.5/83.5. Listed at 6'9", runs the floor and could replace Harris, although he would be a rookie. Should be available at the Sixers pick.

Somebody has to promise Mark Sears a first round pick. His stats are absurd.

Not just his stats, but anyone who has watched him play knows that he isn't a typical 'midget' guard. A lot of teams are going to regret passing on him.

I like Tristan da Silva a lot. I like him in the Batum role. He's probably the best player in this class to fill that role, from what I can see.

Oh wow, that's a significant break. That's within striking range of a legit difference maker.

I'm still in favor of drafting a seasoned upperclassman.

However, now that we're locked into a higher slot, I'd be awfully tempted by someone like Ron Holland.

An dynamic athlete at 6'8" with his scoring and passing ability has obvious star upside.

Although he's a G with questionable shooting ability, would anyone be interested in making Isaiah Collier our selection?

at 6'4" 205, he has ideal PG size. Can obviously score well.

Yep. It would be hard to do another Melton type trade with the limited space left after a George signing.

Totally agree. I'd prefer a scoring wing, but a guard who can run the offense and score would be fine. But definitely an upperclassman ready to step in and contribute.

Please, no projects. I don't want to hear the words 'potential', 'ceiling', or 'upside' with regard to this pick.

I'm for anyone who has star upside. I don't want an older role player like Matisse Thybulle.

If the prospect has star traits, the likelihood of becoming at minimium a role player goes up. So I'm on board with any guys with "potential" and "upside" if it makes sense. That's how you get Maxey: guys who didn't go absolutely crazy in college but showed star traits as an 18 year old.

Luckily this draft does have a bunch of guys who have all around games and can fit into that mold. I think there's a decent amount of role players in this draft.

My reference to projects and potential and upside were more about players like Zhaire or Springer, kids with star 'tools' but more in need of patience and development. Thybulle was always a pick for his defensive skills more than anything else.
