Bamba is a guy who only plays basketball because he’s tall. NBA players always say there are a surprising number of guys in the league who don’t love basketball & Bamaba is definitely one of them.

All I know is Zion is one heck of a talent. Would be a comfortable top ten player in the league if he was professional.

Knowing our luck, Zion would eat too many cheesesteaks and balloon up to 400 lbs. and never play a game for us.

Bamba should probably be released. He was a low risk/high reward signing, but it's clear he has no business in the NBA. He's the poster boy for low effort. I knew he was bad, but I didn't know how bad, and I didn't realize he was this bad. I get it though, Nurse had to see what he could do.

He's looking pretty heavy and Embiid seems to be trimming down

Pels are good, we're obviously missing some players, but I still have a hard time understanding why we look so bad without Embiid. Especially at the beginning of games. We dig ourselves a 20pt hole and then start playing in the 3rd. Why don't we bring a bit of intensity from the start, beats me.. I think Maxey is way to passive in the first half when we're playing without Joel. He is THE GUY, and if Jo is not on the floor, he should be alpha and omega during the whole game.

It's sad too because he showed a lot of potential when he was with the Magic.

I remember that one game a few years ago when he hit like 7 threes in one half vs. us.

I wonder what happened?

Why is Tobias alyways horrible in games like these where it would be nice to get some scoring from him?

Just realized how we should have started Reed on JV. If outmatched, then we run Tobi-Morris at 3&4 like the Tobi-Niang duo. That way we wont be out matched in size.

Then let Bamba match with Zeller instead.

But I guess Nurse played this like we are not the one adjusting to Pels and we play like we want the Pels to adjust to us. Well, then the adjustment should be Reed sub Batum or Harris (depending on who’s not shooting well).

To be fair, he had his moments like game 4 of the Nets series in 2023. Or some of those games in the Raps series in 2022. We (even Maxey) were just outmatched this game.

Embiid makes all stretch bigs look good. He doesn't guard (respect) them.

Again, i understand why Nurse is trying to stretch the floor by playing Morris/Bamba ahead of Reed. But the Pels shot 65% on the first half.

Starting those guys when the Pels have Jonas in the middle and Zion driving to the rim is just suicide.

They need a real 3rd or Co 2nd/3rd star.

Its games like these (including those where Biid checks out) that makes you think that trading for Siakam maybe makes sense

They've got no shot without Embiid.

Helps his next MVP campaign I guess...

It kinda makes me think the whole "what is that team without him" argument of who should be MVP is dumb, at least as a primary reason.

Why should a guy deserve MVP more because his GM built a specifically team around him vs having a bunch of overall talent? Steph couldn't win MVP because Kevin Durant was also on the team? That's dumb.

Primary question should be "who has been the best player in the league this year?" with team success as the next major indicator.
