Game 32: Sixers @ Bulls 12/30 @ 8 pm ET Thread

After last night's tough win combined with having to travel on a back to back with no Embiid and the Bulls already being a bad matchup for us, to take a page out of our former coach's book, this one has scheduled loss written all over it. I hope I'm wrong though.

What's going on with Embiid? he has missed a lot of games if we count today. Undisclosed injury?

He sprained his ankle vs. the Raptors.

Bulls had a helluva shooting night the last time we played them. On top of that, we shot like $hit that night. Alex Caruso came in and did a great job guarding Maxey. Embiid's untimely, but all too familiar mishap at the end of the game did us completely in.

Nick Nurse will have us in this game. Doesn't matter who's playing or who we are missing.

It would be nice if Paul Reed would remove his head from his sphincter tonight and actually get back to playing defense.

Need more from Marcus Morris, and Kelly Oubre needs to be hitting tonight. KO is really starting to show his true colors lately. I'm not complaining, but focus seems to be his biggest issue so far in his career. When he's locked in and focused, he's a borderline all-star type of talent. When he's too busy showboating and trying dumb stuff like the jump pass last night that resulted in a turnover, he's Nick Young level bad.

Tobias Harris should be able to keep his hot streak going as long as he isn't thinking too much. Just let it rip Tobias.

Maxey will be ready, I expect another 30-point night from him. The kid is just talented and fun all day.

Ugh...Mo Bamba...We need to just waive him.

Will we see the young guys? Springer? Martin? Only if this is a blowout, but Nick Nurse may surprise us tonight and pivot to one of them at some point for some defense and energy if the normal guys are lacking.

When was the last time Covington even made a three? I haven't seen him make a three in a month. I'm sure he has, but I've missed them. I love his defense, but he can't shoot anymore.

Is Batum out again? I'm sure he is. He's more of a coach these days anyway. He's got the whole retired dad look from Chesterbrook down. I wish he would play more than he does.

That's all I got. Gonna try and watch the game tonight. Not sure how much I'll get in.

This is that game where a guy like Lavine gets 50 points.

100% schedule loss tonight. Guys have no legs so shots are short.

Maxey gets some weird whistle, sometimes refs give him everything and then he can get kill out there

1-10 from three, only down by 4. I think we'll end up on top.

Gonna be another bad game for Maxey. Tough matchup against Caruso + Ayo and fatigue from the B2B.

The only reason we're still on this are turnovers...

At this point, i would be happy if the team waives Bamba even if it's just to duck the tax

Refuses to box out, doesn't seal his guy on the paint, cannot defend, has no touch around the rim. Just horrible

Maxey missing way too many free throws. Team is out of gas.

Right now it's just a matter of whether ANY Sixer will step up and have a good game. Anyone: starter, bench player, whatever. As others have noted: given all of the factors, including fatigue and injury, it's amazing that it's even been close.

I say this as one who also roots for both teams, the Sixers and the Bulls, but as the Bulls are going nowhere this season I'd just as soon each team learn something about its personnel while the Sixers also get a further step toward home court advantage.

There is no point in having a small lineup if your designed stretch 5 is not gonna takea 3...
