We're going to have to get by with Beverley as our backup point guard. I would look at a smaller trade around the deadline. Royce O'Neal is another name that comes to mind. Dorian Finney-Smith, Luke Ken Ard, Kelly Olynyk. These are guys that can help us that won't break the bank getting.

Pat Bev was all over the place on defense in that 4th qt. was huge and it rubbed off on everyone else.

We needed more boards from Tobi, but can't believe I'm saying it....we probably lose tonight without his effort when we needed it most and everyone else was about to fall out on the court.

I love the way Nurse has navigated getting our big three touches. Obviously Embiid being the focal point and the it's Maxey in the 2nd and 4th. Nurse finds the matchup for Tobias and it allows him to cook as well. Denver had no answer for him tonight. Braun was BBQ chicken every time and we got the switch with Reggie Jackson on Harris and it was more of the same.

The sad thing is I would love to get irrationally excited about a game like this from Embiid against Jokic, but until it happens in the playoffs to take us to the ECF it really doesn’t matter.

The Sixers made me this way.

MVP in the house!

But, we don't win this game unless Maxey and Harris get to their numbers. And role players play their part.

You can see how against a championship team like Denver there's no margin for error. Everyone has to be at their best to even allow yourself a chance to win.

We showed that we can do it. Now we need to show that we can do it consistently.

Maybe I will amend my statement to say in the "off season" I wonder how much it would take to get Shake back in the fold. There was a period last season where Shake played some great ball when Maxey was out. With a better coach, Nurse, Shake could be an ideal low cost replacement for Melton, if Melton leaves in the off season.
