Apparently it's normal that a professional basketball player that happens to be the current MVP and your best player, is not able to play at high altitude, no issues whatsoever, gotcha.

In a sick perverse way you have to give credit to the Sixers for sitting there three best players for a National game with one of them wasnt even on the injury report one day earlier. Wasnt there talk of putting penalties for that sort of thing for national games in the new cba? Cavs and Knick both within 2 in the loss column but hey all we need is edge moves! Our terrible record against over .500 teams is all injury related!

At this point I'm a little bit reluctant to trade any future assets just to build around Joel Embiid.

Either he is too injury prone or under performed on big moment or both. Just not a guy worth to be believed if your goal is to win a title.

It's a fair sentiment. The big fella gets another opportunity to disprove the narrative in a couple of months.

Prime Directive is Embiid reaching the 2nd round healthy. If we can add Caruso, etc. to our current best 7 rotation, and Jo can avoid the late injury, we finally got the coach who can land this thing.

It is absolutely justified, 5 times in a row Embiid has avoided playing in Denver, against the other best player in the league. It's going to get noticed, Jokic never (that I can remember) skips the game in Philadelphia.

Problem is, they don't have a shot this year and didn't have a shot last year and the other and the other, over and over, perennial 2nd round fodder. Not every year one can be a contender for the title, but we have never really been a good enough contender.

So I read a quote by Embiid and he said he had all intentions of playing in Denver in the high altitude. But Maxey was not playing Harris was not playing, and the medical staff said he could cause damage to his knee. He realized he was at a distinct disadvantage. And he is putting up better numbers now than he was last year when he won the MVP so......! He also said
