Embiid's injury status is not really germane to whether they should make deals at the dead line or after the season as far as I concerned. As long as the idea is there are going to continue to build around Embiid imo, if the deals are right, they have more felxibility at the deadline to make trades and keep some of there bird right's players then wait until the offseason and have like 50 million to spend and have to renounce everyone five draft picks or not. Just my opinion your's may be different.

Harris to GSW doesn't make much sense. For starters, Harris don't make much sense in any contender.

They mostly need someone who brings size, lenght, athlecisim, defense while being a respectable offensive player.

Harris makes sense to contenders, because their alpha is reliable and doesnt require their third option to lead their team.

How many times would Steph Curry require Tobias to carry the team?

The same amount of times he required Draymond to have an elite defense.

Im referring to scoring. Curry rarely have a bad scoring game and if he ever does he doesnt play like a sadboi, he still generates a lot of gravity on offense while the entire team defense doesnt skip a beat.

Same with Giannis and Jokic. On their bad games, they dont play like they are suffering from vertigo.

Neither guy is tasked with being the whole defense either. Each guy has things that they require other teammates to cover for and when missing said teammates their teams lose.

Biid is not perfect but no one is. The fact that you constantly make everything about Biid is nuts to me lol. People are talking about Tobias and you go "yeah well Embiid tho".

Embiid literally just scored 30 points every game he played in for like 2 months? Curry scored 9 points in a game against the raptors earlier this month and his team is 4 games under .500 with him missing 3 games all year. What are you even talking about, bizarre thing to say about a guy that was obviously playing injured and suffered a potentially major injury

Tobias' skillset is what you'd want as a third option on a contender in theory, but his timidness is a killer in the final minutes of a playoff game. Obviously Curry has dragged a team in the playoffs way more times than Embiid, but this is the weakest iteration of the Warriors yet and I don't think Tobias makes them a top 4 in the West.

Tobias is an okay 3rd option, but he's still proving he's not super valuable off the ball. He's not as active a cutter as he needs to be, not a volume 3pt shooter, doesn't have quick decision making against closeouts, not an active screener. He's proven he's better catching and going on the move, because that takes out 2 decisions for him... But they're not doing that enough....AKA DHO to him should be more of a play. Also doesn't get a ton of offensive boards and isn't a playmaker for others to warrant putting him on the ball more.

But the easy cure for him is to focus more on defense and shoot more 3s as Rivers had him doing with James.

Glad you brought that up because I think he'd be way deadlier on offense if he mucked it up more under the rim. The Sixers were outstanding against Golden State, giving the Dubs fits the other night on the offensive glass. Particularly Oubre, who's 20 some lbs smaller than Tobias. I'm a believer Tobias could boost his confidence by scoring closer to the basket more often and boost that 1 orpg.

Tobias game is based off of rhythm and repetition

and he isn't consistent enough to warrant that. You want your third option to be able to get his in the flow of a game....which requires off ball work, quick thinking and hustle plays....thats not Tobias' game.
