Also what a bad article from Pompey, Tobi's dad clearly wrote it lol.

How does Pompey still have a job? He's a hack and has always been a hack.

It's really bad just how far in the pocket of Tobias' dad Pompey is.

it's a great failing that we went from two of the best beat reporters ever in the NBA (Jasner, then Fagan) to this. Fortunately, the non-Inquirer media has us covered.

Fagan's takedowns of Eddie Jordan on the regular were a site to behold and the only thing that got me through that season.

I miss Kate Fagan's writing. I wonder what's she doing now.

She’s written a few books since leaving ESPN.

How does anyone read this dreck? It's staggering how far journalism has fallen in the last 25-30 years.

This is his game summary?

But the Sixers looked shaky for a while Wednesday. They would have lost if not for Nico Batum scoring 20 points — including six three-pointers, plus a one key block — and becoming an unlikely hero.

Sometimes it pays to be a hack. Keith's stories are shared widely. He's infamous. But a click is a click.

The Inquirer striving for infamy.

Seems fitting.

Lmao, I’m out. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if DeRozan wants out and is willing to take less to win.

So not here then. If you want to win don't go to a team that hasn't gotten out of the 2nd round of the playoffs since 2001.

Well the top tier teams are already maxed out salary wise or they already have their on ball stats established. His skill set is something we need and he would be able to be the guy that got us over the second round hump. But he we need to come here for almost half that price.

Derozan is the emergency button if we miss out on every other top-50 player who becomes available. His skillset on this team will piss a lot of people off, likely Embiid included.

1) Sign Paul George
2) Re-sign Batum and Oubre with remaining cap space
3) Use room exception on Kyle Anderson
4) Trade Reed + 1st for Alex Caruso (I like Reed, but a lot less at $8 mil if we can't/won't play him next to Embiid)
5) Sign Lowry, Melton, and Drummond to vet mins

I think the time is now to sit down with Embiid and ask him to move into a Sixers James Harden role next year. Second best player on the team who is trying to maximize opportunities for the other stars. If he goes into next year’s playoffs completely healthy, then I’d consider upping the scoring load. He just does too much in the reg season which always limits him in the postseason. He has every award and accolade you can want other than postseason success. Fall in line during the reg season so you have a chance for once.

Nix George and that's a great plan.

I don't think you can get Caruso for Reed + 1st.

I'm on board with Paul George if they can manage to make it happen. Might look ugly on the back end, but he's a perfect fit on the court and still easily a top-40 player in the league.

I think if you can do that, you're realistically looking at 2 non-minimum free agents between remaining cap space and the room. Oubre and Batum would be my priority. And I don't think Melton is signing for the minimum unless his medicals still look really bag.

This team has assets, next season 2025, Lauri Markkanen becomes an unrestricted free agent. I wonder what it would take to get him from the Jazz ?

I don't think Paul George is leaving LA. Ballmer is not having that, especially if PG plays well in the playoffs.
What is the relationship between Pascal and Nurse?
Get Drummond. He played extremely well when he was here, get him again.

Milton may not have a lot of suitors or high paying suitors this off season. And he is going into free agency as a injured player. He may have to take a one year prove it deal.
The Accession of Paul Reed is upon us !

Bring on the draft

You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

If Paul George stays, how would everyone feel if Morey pursued Siakam? I know in the past some here have been against it, because of lack of fit with Embiid, but overall even though he's not a great 3 point shooter, it's not terrible and has a good mid ranged game. But I think most importantly, he's the type of guy in the playoffs where if Maxey or Embiid are having a bad night and you need another guy to step up, he's absolutely very capable of getting you 30+. I think that is valuable.
