What Maxey did at the end of the 4th is RIGHT there with what Miller did to them. Awesome ass win! Jo was awful in the 4th. He'll clean that up. So happy that isn't the lasting memory of this season. He'll get it right in game 6.

Sad to see so many Sixers fans blaming Embiid when hes playing on one leg and BP. Give the man a break. Hes clearly playing at 50%.

Maxey is only 23 and already a star. This was always going to be a transition year for the Sixers.

Get Embiid healthy. Replace Tobias with PG or Derozan. Then you are really cooking.

It’s the 15 rebounds, 5 blocks, and deferring to Maxey offensively (at the end of the 4th and into OT, hence preventing his soul crushing turnovers) that was impressive. The passing is gravy, and honestly I’d like him to score less.

A 15-15-10-5 Jo is a much better Jo than a 32-7-2-1 Jo. And also far easier to win with.

Maxey was just straight up unbelievable, what a game. That logo three for the tie was amazing. I think he’s learned how to fully leverage his combo of speed & shooting and it’s a thing to behold.

We should straight up build the team around him moving forward. He’s that caliber of talent offensively.

Geniunely curious to hear what you and others would do differently on what the Sixers should do in the offseason now than you thought earlier in thr season?

Trading Embiid? Not signing/trading for an older star (i.e. PG13)? Increasing Maxey's usage?

Jo did what was necessary tonight. The turns in the 4th we're inexcusable. Luckily we pulled this out. Again, that's not how I wanted to remember the season ending. The defense, passing, rebounding is just as impressive as him dropping 50 two games prior. He's been stellar in the playoffs. Like I said, the turnovers were bad, but I've seen quarterbacks throw 3 into in games and still come out with wins. It doesn't matter. Let's fix this, TCB Thursday night and force a game 7 in NY. We've got a pulse still.

It's also up to guys to be able to put the ball in the basket. Morey has a job to do this offseason and it involves Embiid not being the number 1 option or having such high usage. He already was a 2 way player and now he has added passing ability to his game. There is no reason he should have to score 35 pts a game as an injury prone big man for us to be a good team.

With how bad they've been without Embiid on the floor, Nurse has to strongly consider Bamba unless there's something behind the scenes we're not aware of.

I don't think there's anything behind the scenes with Bamba. His mistakes are visible to everyone. So much so that people don't seem to bother looking at his stats. How do you mitigate things when you fully expect him to miss an assignment every 5th possession and it leads to a wide open layup or jump shot? Or to have unnecessary fouls? Those things are easy to see and are probably why he doesn't play. The real question is whether his game (i.e. the decent stats despite bad eye test) translates to the playoffs or not. I don't know how you answer that question without playing him in the playoffs, but the coaches probably have some method that led to Paul Reed getting the minutes instead of Bamba.

Well Reed is definitely not working, time to try something else. Small ball, Bamba, or me......doesn't matter, Reed has been useless.

Jojo did score 50 in this series for a win. Its just one game, we still need him to be Jojo.

They will have to work together in the future, but right now all we have is the shell of Jojo and its a chance for Max to show us something. Please don't go totally nuts with Max being number 1, maybe in these playoffs with a hobbled Jojo, but in the future we need them 1a and 1b.

I don't like Reed at all out there. I'd rather go small ball in those minutes, but we can try Bamba I guess. Anything but Reed, Robinson is just a player who is better at everything than Reed with the same game.

Definitely don’t trade Embiid lol. Earlier in the season, I thought we needed a third guy to handle a fairly large share of the playmaking on this team because Maxey wasn’t quite capable of carrying an offense. Now, I’d fully hand him the keys.

A guy like PG13 is still a target because he’s a Swiss Army knife & can fit on any team. But players like Derozan or Brandon Ingram are guys I would’ve entertained earlier this year but would say no to now.

I’d be more interested now in finding high quality role player who bring some mix of shooting, rebounding, athleticism, and defense. Give me something like the Knicks role players with Maxey leading the offense & Embiid anchoring the defense and I think we win a title.
