At the end of the day, we had no chance of going deep in the playoffs with a one legged Embiid and a roster that was sabotaged for Morey's offseason master plan.

The Knicks are gonna absolutely destroy the Pacers. We would too tbh

I don't think so. It'll be a good series probably. Pacers are healthy and have the guys to run with the Knicks. Thibodeau just grinded the Knicks into a pulp to survive this series. I don't anticipate Hart and DiVincenzo to keep up this level of play. I predict 7 game series.

We will all simultaneously laugh and cry next round once Hart turns back into the 9ppg pumpkin he is.

The Sixers should be looking to add several good players and not start chase. 3 stars and a bunch of trash won't get it done.

This 100%. The game has changed since the superteam garbage, and Phoenix is Exhibit A. That's exactly where we'll be headed if Morey is shortsighted enough to star hunt. Do some real work and follow the Nuggets blueprint.
Easier said than done. Nuggets lucked in to Aaron Gordon which was enormous for them. Finding multiple good role players that aren't overpaid is debatably harder than trading for a star.

That's why you gotta hit your draft picks. If only we didn't trade Bridges.

Was 2020 the only healthy playoff run Embiid had? The bottom line is the Sixers have no shot without a healthy Embiid. And even when he plays through the injuries, he is still missing practices, which can throw the rhythm of the team off. Shuffling the pieces around him can only help so much if the man can't stay healthy during the playoffs.

Boston would have made 30 3s a game playing 5 out against this version of embiid. Realistically we were never beating them.

So of course, we go right back to the Jo show and lose. I realize NY focused on Maxey, who didn’t handle it particularly well, and unsurprisingly Tobi no showed. Hield and Batum showed out, though.

It’s whatever, NY was a bad matchup. Rooting for the Nova guys to win the East now.

It’s all on Morey. He has to execute. No excuses.

With that being said he made amazing plays and shots all series. They deserved the win with that and outhustling us for rebounds consistently.

Bye Tobi won't miss you
Bye Reed won't miss you.

Bring me Siakam, Durant or Lebron.

Forgot about Durant. I'm torn on Siakim, he's better than Tobias, but I'm not sure he moves the needle for Philly. Durant or Lebron might, but then your window is super small.

Sure, but when you look at the market, what are you going to do. Add Miles Bridges and Kelly Olynyk. Heck, I looked at 2 lists, Tobias Harris was a top 10 available guy on both. Yuck.

Lowry was useless this series. Should have tried Hield sooner and given him more mins today when he was hot. Oh well.

I don't understand why Hield didn't get to keep playing as the hot hand. Go with what works until they stop it.

Nurse was playing 2K and saving that energy apparently.

Hield can't defend and therefore couldn't be out there. Nurse handled it as well as he could have. Can't blame the mad scientist for this one. He had the right rotations. We just didn't get it done.

Hield was still bad on defense to be fair. I noticed him get lost a handful of times in the 4th.

He's almost 40 years old. The fact that they relied on a guy who was a buyout guy at the end of the season is an indictment on you know who and the roster he put together. Serious teams don't have Kyle Lowry as key contributors to try to make noise in the playoffs.

Well, we have no clue who might shake free though. If its a bunch of overrated role players then you might have to go for a star and hope you can get ring chasers. Morey seems to think a lot of teams will panic over the new cba and who knows will be made available if thats the case. Im just saying my preferences would be 2 to 3 quality starters if they could get it done and a few bench guys including a legit backup center.

This game was just a speed bump on Maxey’s road to greatness. His big development area is keeping his dribble alive in traffic with a defender on his hip similar to Brunson this series. He picks his dribble up way too early & gets caught in no man’s land but can sometimes bail himself out with insane floater touch.

I predict he comes back next season with the ability to snake the PnR and circle through traffic with his dribble alive.

Remember when Tobi’s dad called him a scoring assassin? It’s unbelievable how bad of a basketball player he is, still don’t understand how he got playing time
