I for one don't see us getting what we want for him, which is an expiring. He is playing his best bball up to date, but there are too many shoot first 2 guards out there that can be had for 1 year minimum deals.

1. Tradeable contract
2. Nice player to come off the bench.
3. He does play some D for a shoot first SG.

While, as a friend of mine would say, "2's and 3's are a dime-a-dozen", there are a couple of things that WG has going for him...he can defend pretty well (still remembering the D he put on LeBron last month)...he is getting his athleticism back (the athleticism that got him paid in the first place)...while he is not a starter-quality player for a good team, he is a guy that a decent team (like, say, the Hornets) could bring off the bench to provide some offense...

If he gets back to playing at the level he was playing at before he tweaked his groin, I could see another team potentially being interested in him. The question is - of course - what we would get in return?

It might not be worth it.

Perhaps Stefanski might be able to pull something off...he got an expiring and a future 1 for Korver...even if loses, say, 50% of WG's contract in a trade, it would certainly help.

I think Willie has trade value. Just don't expect a full expiring contract in return. You are probably getting back a similar player with maybe 1 less yr left on his contract. This is the NBA...go check out most of the teams in the league. Almost every team has 1 or more contracts that are similar, or worth much more per year, for a similar level player. I do think there's some teams out there that will want Willie. We just aren't likely to be offered what people want in return.

Here is a simple but effective Willie Green trade
Willie to the Hornets for Hilton Armstrong and Ryan Bowen(exp)

This gives the Hornets a scorer off the bench and gives the Sixers a small amount of cap relief in Ryans contract but we also get a young big who can play some center and rebound pretty well...its possible
