Not bad.. i really didn't think we could get him for the minimum. That's huge, for being so small.

He was at the top of my list of available free agents who might sign for the minimum so this is an excellent signing.

Now if only Ed would stop screwing around and wrap up that sign-and-trade deal of Iguodala and Evans for Michael Redd. :-)

where do y'all see Rush on this team? backup SG? end of bench energy guy? ahead of willie? He's gotta contribute more than Shav, Amundson, Booth, Hill did.

The Pacers probably didn't want the two brothers fighting all the time, that's why the didn't resign him. They would have had to hire their mom as an assistant coach.

A very good signing in the context of a backup player and roster fill out move like Ivey's signing a few days ago. And also good considering the names left out there in our price range.

On road trips, they'd fight over who gets the top bunk. It would be a mess.

I honestly don't think Cheeks will play him over Willie because he's a pretty bad defender, so he won't play much. It's good to have someone on the team that can actually make a 3 every once in a while though.

Should be one year. If it is for the minimum, which it likely is, Rush would be foolish to sign for more than one year.

If he signed, that is exactly what his role will be. He's a dime a dozen player - shouldn't be any higher than a 3rd guard in a two man rotation. Comes in here and there for a few minutes to take open 3's, just like Ivey will come in for a few minutes to pressure the ball.

I would think he would be ahead of Willie Green on the depth chart but I've learned over the years to never bet against Willie Green getting minutes. If Iguodala or Young went down with an injury or missed a game at any point in the season, we were going to be EXTREMELY thin at SF. This signing solves that.

He is the sniper we wanted..sole purpose...shoot I imagine we play 3 guards alot....since we run so much..plus Iguodala can play SF. Kareem Rush is 6'6...so he can play spot minutes at SF

Miller/LouWill
Iguodala/Green/Ivey
Dalembert/JasonSmith
Young/Rush
Brand/Evans/Speights

We will probably bring Booth or some big in for depth as well(benchwarmer)

Not bad, Not bad at all!

That would mean Jamont Gordan wont be a sixer?

Brandon Rush wont be happy!

And Philly would win 50 plus games..........ahhh i can live with that!

The sixers can have around 15 guys and send young guys to the D-League, so Jamont's future will be decided likely as an inactive guy/D-league guy. Ultimately, these signings don't affect him in those terms.

I know it means Pat Carroll won't be a Sixer. I think it will be the 12 under contract right now, Gordan, and a vet center.

I doubt we see much of Ivey or Rush in the regular rotation. They are more insurance against injuries or foul problems. Also good to have if you need a specialist to change up what the team is doing. There will be nights when no one can buy a shot- and it will be good to throw Rush out there if the opposition is packing in the defense and daring them to shoot.

i guess it's a good signing, but it doesn't really seem to make any difference on the surface. the guy is like a career 37 or 38% 3 pt shooter which is nothing special. He's never shot 40% beyond the arc in a season and has had a couple seasons with percentages in the lows 30s or upper 20s.
