Okay.... Derozen is my pick over Lawson if he's there. I really really like what i've seen from him even in the little college ball he did play. It's highly possibly he slips. Doug Gottleib has us taking Lawson over Jennings which doesn't make sense to me. Direct quote from DG was "I don't think Lawson is a starter in the NBA but more of a change of pace pg". Why would we take Lawson (a bench player) over a potential star and starter in Jennings or Derozen?

is the celtics deal still on the table with Tony Allen and J.R Giddens? are they calling teams guaging interest on him? will they start to shop him seriously as soon as a Dalembert deal gets done?

havent heard much of anything on green lately. i know they want him to be off the bench 10-15 minutes a game if he stays.

derozan shot 17% from 3 in college... thats disheartening... but if you look at him down the stretch of the season... he was playing great.... its hard to pass on someone like him if hes there... it would further add to our "most athletic team" in the league status lol

I don't know enough about Derozen to have a comment, but the fact that this organization, which has been quite organized around draft time over the last few years(with the exception of blowing the 3rd #1 pick in 2007) to be so scattered speaks volumes about how weird this draft is.

Indeed. I think that Stefanski will look at our roster, look at Jennings and say

"Hope we have another Thad Young" and select him.

DeRozan had an adjustment for the first 2/3rd of his freshman year as he tried to find his way. Watching him in the tourney he had some impressive games.

To me...his game reminds me a little bit of Stackhouse at Carolina.

I'm fine with him in that role. He is a steady guy to have off the bench who at least can hit a shot off of a screen. His salary is too long, but not that big in the grand scheme of things.

My issue with Green is that he should neber be a starter or be taking minutes from other young players.

Looks like Indiana is discussing TJ Ford with a number of teams

http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wireta ... _not_jack/

I've been saying for awhile that Indiana would probably end up shopping TJ Ford and look to retain Jack. The two of them had reported disputes on and off the court, and Jack was the guy finishing a lot of games for them down the stretch of last season.

SF, I don't suppose you've heard any rumblings of us being one of the teams talking to Indiana about Ford.

the other thing to consider is that it is all a smoke screen. maybe they are significantly more organized... sure he dissed Maynor a little, but didn't he pronounce Speights name wrong in an interview right before picking him?

man i'm ready for this thing to just happen already.

Jenning reportedly has a promise from Minnesota.

lets see how that shakes things up.

1. Griffin
2. Thabeet
3.Rubio
4. Flynn
5.Harden
6. Jennings
7. Hill
8. Curry ( OMG MGS EXPLODEZ!!!!)
9. Johnson
10. Holiday?
11. Williams
12. Henderson
13. Lawson
14. Clark
15. Mullins/Daye
16 Hansbrough
17 Maynor it is......

well set phasers to underwhelm

edit... Or perhaps Derozan? but I don't think he falls past Mil or PHX..

Yea im done with all my predictions and debates...i got done work early so im happy.
now i just gotta get my beer and be prepared for the draft.

Im hoping a Jennings,Holiday,DeRozan falls and we nab one of them but ill be happy with Lawson/Teague/maynor etc.

im actually more interested in a 2nd move...ill be watching to see us nab a 2nd rounder or late 1st to get a shooter...im just praying we actually go out and get one.

Last year, i was hoping they announced we traded for a 2nd rounder and drafted Jordan when he slid...but we all kno how that turned out

wow where did u hear the Jennings/Minnesota link?

I guess it makes some sense...but then again, they have Telfair there already, why draft his poss clone?

if i were minnesota, id take Thabeet and Evans/Harden/Curry

as long as whoever we pick @ 17 is paired with one of meeks/taylor/ellington/christmas/thornton ill be happy.

if we come out of this draft with JUST lawson/maynor etc....ill consider it a bust

I was working with ESPN during the NFL Draft, and it was interesting to see that most teams announced their pick on Twitter, before the commissioner could. I wonder if the NBA Draft will be similar....I'm hoping we draft DeRozen or Lawson - Teague.

No to Lawson, just no. 5'11, short arms, no defense. This is a weak draft. Take Jennings and run away with it.

A couple of things. On Stefanski's comments he mentioned something negative and positive about every player talked about so not sure why Maynor was singled out there. Seems like a bunch of smokescreen to me!

Also, just because Minnesota made a promise to Brandon Jennings doesnt mean it was at 5 or 6. the way he is falling they could have promised him at 18. Remember they do have that pick as well as those others. That would mean he could still be there for us a pick earlier.

And lastly I am so ready for 7:30 to get here! Im so tired of speculation, I just want to know who the newest member of the 76ers will be. My top choice is Maynor but would be very happy with Lawson, Jennings, Derozan, or holiday. Only picks i wouldnt like are Teague because he is Lou Williams 2.0. I wouldnt like Ellington but only at 17 because i feel we could possibly get him later since he could slide to 2nd rd.

nice points about the Minnesota picks Kell.

Say Jennings falls to 17, and Maynor is there as well.
Do you take the guy you like in Maynor?Do you take Jennings and his potetial and run with it?...or do you try and send 17(jennings) to Minnesota for 18 and 45 or 28?

this should be an interesting night indeed...hopefully were somewhat active too and not just 1 and done.
