I think with Lou running point it will hurt the entire lineup. Turnovers, not getting people in position to get good looks, plus a new coach and it takes time to adjust to the system. All things considered I say we win 35-38 games with that lineup and miss the playoffs.

We've gotta find a way to revitalize those Portland Talks. Or Milwaukee talks. Or ANY talks. We need a PG damn it.

Sign and Trade, Sessions for Miller come on lol'

Because bringing in Steve Blake would really revive the ticket sales?

Do people really think with Bibby or Miller or Blake/Outlaw that we'd do much better? Getting to the second round is that important to you all?

Honestly, this isn't the year we're going to challenge for a championship with the moves the other contenders have made. That's fine... we're still a young team.

If we can (a) get Holiday/Williams some PG experience in the new offense, (b) determine if Igoudala and Young can work at the 2 and 3, (c) improve Brand's stock and familiarity with the rest of the team and (d) still make the playoffs, I'd consider that a pretty successful season.

By not wanting to resign Miller for more than two years, it's obvious Stefanski thinks our best chance to win is 3-4 years out... which I agree with. He's also trying to still make the playoffs in the meantime.

Absolutely agree, Lou as the starting PG would be a major disaster. He has absolutely horrendous court vision and can't guard anyone. I much prefer a stop-gap of some sort with Lou getting a few minutes at back-up PG, but more and more going to Holiday as the season progresses.

Blake and Outlaw do little to get you excited about next year, but it does do a few things:

-Philly would get a chance to see Brand play with a PG that can shoot from distance.
-Philly would have two reasonably sized expiring contracts to play with at the trade deadline this year if a potential move unearth's itself later in the year.
-Philly would not have to rush Holiday if they don't wish to. With Lou turning the ball over left and right, they might have to otherwise.
-While the diehard fans would not be fooled, some of the less involved fan base might be tempted to see what the new lineup looks like just because it's different and they seem to love to cheer guys that can hit 3 pointers.

well said GS

if we fill out the roster with Ronnie Price, Rob Kurz, Royal Ivey and Adonyl Foyle....this team will struggle to make playoffs.

I truly hope talks with Portland are a little bit louder than we're all being led on to believe.

Well, teams are constantly talking.

I just think people are putting WAY too much stock in this talk.

We're to the point where people on here are EXPECTING the sign and trade to Portland to occur.

Do you think Price would get vet min or would he take a chunk of the MLE?

I really would like Murray. He wouldn't hurt the future, and he could be a good piece for the future when this team actually starts becoming a contender.

Yes, he's a 2 guard. I think we could afford both Murray and Price. I say why not get both?

They are both still relatively young, they both could be on this team for the long haul(unlike old players like Parker and Bibby) and Murray could even start at the 2 if the worst happens and we find out Iguodala and Thad simply can't play the 2 and 3 together.

I don't see how you could go wrong with Flip Murray.

face it, Miller ain't coming back. They're not getting Bibby. So Lou is the starting PG. Enjoy that first-round rematch with Orlando.

Since we are not going to win a title this season, we are better off winning 25 games and getting into the lottery for a chance at a top 5 pick. At Least a top 5 pick would give the 76ers a chance at getting a star player next year. Who wants to make the playoffs on a 43 win season and get knocked out in round 1? Maybe a 15 year old might like the idea of the 76ers going to the playoffs so he can have the memory of going to a 76ers playoff game with his dad. If the 76ers try to duplicate what the TWolves did years ago, making the playoffs and never winning in the playoffs, they will still be left in a quagmire.

Come on man. You know the playoffs is a different atmosphere. You need to develop a hunger to succeed in the playoffs. That doesn't happen if you go there two years in a row and then take a step back. That's a recipe for failure.

just like they're not good enough to win a round in the playoffs, they're not bad enough to win just 25 games and get a top-five pick in the draft. like denny green famously said: "they are who we thought they were," and that's mediocre.

They're a 40--45 win team, which in the Eastern Conference makes them a playoff team.

Murray can play some point, but is more of a scorer. And it's Tom.

Did you see Gortat apparently has given a verbal commitment to sign with the Mavericks?
