That's not recipe for failure. You don't need to dip your toes into the playoffs to succeed. Talent wins.
But just assume that it is recipe for failure. Then how do you expect the Sixers to get to a level that they can win a championship? How are they going to get to that level? The only thing I can see is if they get incredibly lucky and a superstar talent falls into the teens, like Kobe did. But that is even harder now with players having to go to college. Teams have more tape now than ever and teams don't let superstar potential fall.
