Is it me, or, after just 21 games, this guy is stealing money?

Sam finally got playing time 40 minutes. I think he proved that he can block shots, get rebounds and defend the rim. He also had plenty of energy. I wonder if Jordan even noticed?

I think Sam looked good. Just think about how much better he will be when he doesn"t have to run out to the 3 pt line and can play in the paint with Brand. Also it took AI to finally understand that Sam is good with the alley oops. After 20 games it took a first time player to understand this..

As I understand it he's been stealing money for about 518 games
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Just to be clear, he's referring to EJ and not Tom Moore :P

Good news...anxious to see him back in the lineup. He grabbed at that Right shoulder in 2-3 games before the injury after running into hard picks...hope it is just a minor injury and not something more significant.

Bobbycats beat Denver tonight.

Denver shot 45% overall.

But 2-16 from the arc.

Hmmmm...

You’ve got to have a good understanding of the game, knowing your matchup, personnel.

This made me laugh because in the 4th quarter, Dre slacked off Billups who was like 7 feet behind the 3-point line and I was like, "Oh don't do that – dude hits that shot all the time" and Billups just drilled it.

Makes you wonder what Larry Brown could do with this team if he were still here....

give Larry Brown 6 guys who can score 20 any given night(AI, Iggy, Thad, Brand, Lou, Speights) and have them play defense the way he has the bobcats playing defense, and I think you guys may have yourselves a team who could contend...

oh the what ifs in life...

The funny thing is, if BK doesn't get fired LB probably is the coach right now.

No Stefanski to tell Mo to coach differently so he has a bad final year and isn't brought back. That would have probably meant a higher pick that year most likely in the lottery. We would have had a higher pick and a real coach that I am sure would be able to do somthing with this team.

Oh well, at least we have the beautiful PO to watch every night and don't have to watch a team win ugly with hard work and tough defense.

Ed Snider was always an arrogant owner who knew next to crap about basketball. And when you think about it? WTF have the Flyers won? If your a top-flight organization(as the Flyers proclaim themselves to be), you need to at least get back to the Conference Finals.

My story today is on the Sixers' dreadful 3-point defense. Did some research and the Sixers are on pace to allow the most 3-pointers in NBA history (691, breaking the old record from Jordan's 2007-08 Wizards) and opponents shooting 42.0 percent beyond the arc would be another single-season league record.

Tom, I believe that E. Jordan has revised his estimate to asking him what we think of his 3 point defense after 100 games, rather than 10. That way, he'll be ensured a second season and the team will only be 2-16 when he's finally fired next year. It's simply amazing how pretty much the exact same players have regressed even if they themselves have commented on what the problem is:)

Opponents shot 36.7 percent from 3-point land last year against the Sixers.

In Jim O'Brien's one year here (2004-05), in which the Sixers gave up an NBA-record-tying 21 at Toronto (I was there -- talk about deja vu with Donyell Marshall hitting one after the other from the right baseline), opponents shot 36.2.

I know that Jordan is more engaged and active than the former Sixer coach that I'm about to mention, but my negative side is mentally comparing this team to the Doug Moe Sixers.

Both guys came in with a "revolutionary" offense that is based on motion and was only learnable over time.

Both guys seem to have a percieved disinterest in the defensive end of the floor.

I'm sure there are many differences and that this 10 game losing streak is poisoning my current POV, but does this feel like Moe 2.0 to anyone else today?

That is just absolutely crazy and yet I'm sure there will be some some EJ apologists who say we're unfairly criticizing his coaching and his defensive philosophy.

A skeptic could say "what defensive philosophy?"

Unquestionably Jordan.

Sorry for any confusion.
