Bringing Thad off the bench (as good as he's played lately) until Speights comes back could give them a little more balance.

Other than the 1st quarter, does it really make a difference? They can mix and match however they want the rest of the game.

Bench has been outscored 101-20 in last three games, shooting 8-for-41 in that span.

The problem is what can they do? Start Green or Holiday, go small and bring Brand off the bench? Not too many options until Speights and/or Williams return.

BTW, Sixers using same starting lineup.

Because last year he never got a chance to lose 12 games in a row. He was canned after ten losses.

Put Jrue back in the starting lineup.

I understand, but I just don't think it's that big of a deal if the lineup changes. If the minutes played stays the same for each player, then nothing really changes.

Like tonight- Jrue will continue to get 1/5th the minutes of AI and Green. becasue those guys are so imprortant for the team's future or playoff posityion or something. Jrue struggled, but I don't care. Let him play through it.

Yeah, they're going to have to eventually. It could possibly be because of his injury. Who knows.

We will see. I've seen too many years of the Sixers giveing heavy minutes to older vets when they should be in full rebuild mode. AI and Green are not part of the future, but if they can squeeze out 2 extra wins by riding them then that is what we likely will see,

Speights participated in portions of Saturday's practice. He's getting closer. Been out four weeks -- should be back sooner than the original estimate of six to eight weeks.

Green did not practice with a right knee MCL sprain -- he's day-to-day.

EJ will still find a way to have him in the game even though he's shooting 1-7 with turnstile defense.

Well the signings we made this offseason were fine if they were end of the bench guys who never played any minutes but with the injuries we've had, we have actually had to play those guys meaningful minutes. I figured we would get a guard injury and could not depend on Ivey, et al. Makes me wonder what Stefanski was thinking?

Changing lineups won't do anything. This team sucks right now. They can get angry, get focused, change lineups, change their diets, and wear their lucky shorts to practice, but this team will not start winning games on a consistent level this year.

You hear this crap in all sports when a team is slumping. These things never work. It just means they have run out of ideas to fix the problem and are grasping at straws.

Maybe he should be angry enough with himself to pass the ball to someone who can actually make a shot in the last two minutes of the game.

Check out the standings -- If the playoffs began Saturday, only one team (the Celtics) from the Atlantic Division would've qualified. Three Central teams (the Cavaliers, Bucks and Pistons) and four Southeast Division teams (the Magic, Hawks, Heat and Bobcats) would've joined them.

The division also features the teams with the two-worst records in the Eastern Conference - the Sixers and Nets.

Or start practicing his shot so he can become an asset on the perimeter. I mean, can't blame him. The U.S. Has forgotten how to shoot, remember 03 olympics? That spelled the decline of USA Basketball.

We should appreciate Reggie Miller and Ray Allen. True shooting guards.

My apologies, but didn't we basically lose the qualifiers because our only shooter was literally M-Redd? Back then, LBJ, Melo, etc were young kids that LB didn't trust.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
