More Dalembert on the Princeton offense: "It’s an offense I’m familiar with – it’s nothing different. It involves the big man. I defend that so many times. He’s going to ask me to do a little more offensively. It’s nothing new. The reason I haven’t done more is they never ask me to."

Tom:

I think that if any of them make it, it will be Swift - they have wing guys out the ying-yang, and with both Brand and Smith coming back from injuries, it may be nice to have an extra body for practices if those guys need a day off now and then.

If it's 50-50 that one of these guys make it, it is a further 50-50 that the guy who DOES make it makes it beyond the date where the contract is guaranteed for the season.

It's a shame the the attitude Sm showed up with for camp is not a good one. If Sam really is that much in "persecuted" mode then I have a hunch that the team might have to send him home. That might sound drastic, but its happened with other players before who have problems with how they perceive they are being used.

I would agree that a big guy would seem to have the best shot, given the Brand and Smith injuries. I believe contracts are guaranteed in mid-January, which is when you can start signing guys to 10-day deals.

In the playoffs when we played (the Magic), Dwight Howard had two fouls and he started the second quarter. He started the third quarter. He made a difference with his presence. Each coach is different. They try to protect me, but in the long run they’re hurting the team. Me starting and not playing the second quarter and fourth quarter for 14 games in a row when you’re supposed to be the X factor, it’s tough to buy that."

Well thats one thing I agree with they just didnt trust in the late stages of the the game but it did hurt us defensively.

Don't want to get into it if they already explained.

Tom, does Sam seem really whiny and defensive, or is that just how his quotes come across? I don't want to read too much into it.

Hard to tell with him, but he doesn't seem to let things go too well.

Kapono is wearing No. 72 because he couldn’t get 24 — Bobby Jones’ jersey is retired. Known for his 3-point shooting, Kapono simply multiplied 24 by three.

I wish we had any kind of offense in your career Iggy, last offense you played in was 2004 with Jim O'Brien.

ISO-Ball ends, YES. I can't show how happy enough via internet keyboard messages.

Sheed averages 3 fpg in 32 minutes, ben 1.5 fouls in 23 minutes.

for their careers ben averages 2 in just under 31 minutes and sheed 3 in just under 34

(by comparison, dalembert averages 3.2 in 26 minutes, 3 in 24 last year).

And Sheed couldn't give a rats @ss about playing defense sometimes, Sam's problem is he tries to block EVERYTHING!

Lou Williams on the Princeton offense: "The great thing about this offense is the two-guard front. It’s going to be a great opportunity for Andre to bring the ball up and for me to bring it up. My role is really just to be one of the guys. It’s not an offense where the point guard pounds the ball and everyone is worried about if I can do it or not. I’ve put myself in a great position this summer with the way I worked and I’m excited about the opportunity."

Iguodala on the gap between this team and Boston/Orlando/Cleveland: "I don’t think it’s a big gap at all if you look at the history of the NBA in the past 5 years. Teams have been at the bottom and then with one or two moves have been right in the mix. Boston for example, they were last in the league (actually second-worst) and won a championship the next year. So a turnaround can be really fast. We’ve made some really good moves; we did a good job in the draft. Thad’s come along great and very quickly. Lou’s going to be starting for us. We’re the sixth youngest team in the league. We had the Eastern Conference Champions on the edge. There’s not too much negative that we can say about ourselves."
