It looks like there was some kind of overbooking. A lot of the fans climbed the fences. Some fans are outside with tickets. Other paying customers were pepper-sprayed trying to get in.

How is that not a goal?

Looks like it took two touches off the Liverpool defenders. Benzema was behind the goalkeeper, but wouldn't that be another phase? Looks like I misunderstand the rule.

The rule itself is confusing. He looked offside initially & then Var ruled it off when the ball was in play. The rule interpretation makes it nearly impossible.
