Woodward will try, but he'll fail.

I read that Leicester is aiming for 90 million euro for Maguire. No club would be crazy enough to pay that, he is garbage.

The money Leicester paid to Hull in 2017, I believe something below 15 mil. is the absolute maximum I would pay for him if I was a manager. And even that seems a tad high.

I dont know how I feel about it. If kept in check and hes not being a child, he would be great. Thats a big if though.
We should be working on our defense more.

It's looking promising, but I won't celebrate until I see him in a Spurs shirt

Lyon's chairman is as bad as Levy at drawing things out.

Meanwhile, Man United sign Wan-Bissaka for £50m. It's looking like Spurs are also signing Jack Clarke from Leeds for about £10m.

Breel Embolo from Schalke to Gladbach for 8M euros, with possible added payments of up to 8M euros for the next four seasons.

So, what's the deal with Embolo?

I recall him being touted as one of the more promising forwards in Europe a couple years ago. Has he not played well for Schalke? 8m euros seems like a very light fee. Definitely worth a gamble at that price.

He had a horrific injury at the start of his Schalke career(fractured ankle and calfbone/bone edema, I think it's called in english) and missed nearly half of the games.
He also had a broken foot last season and missed at least half the games during those three years at Schalke.

We'll be trying to bring him on a bit more slowely and hope he can stay healthy. That's why we also got him for this price and the added payments require him to play at least 25 games a season(one mil euros extra for that) and us qualifying for europe(another one million euros), which helps us in case he can't stay healthy.

Overall it's a calculated risk for us and we're hoping he can regain the form from his Basel days, especially with him still being only 22 years of age.

Anything about DeLigt? Juventus were supposed to close the deal a couple of days ago, but no news since then, maybe Dutch papers say something, but I can't read Dutch.

De Ligt is expected to be anounced today by Juventus. But I guess you won't be very excited about this deal

based on how Ajax played against Bayern and Real it's a 50/50 game. But I know our history against Juve and Ronaldo always scores against us. Juve is the clear cut favorite and Juve was highly disappointing yesterday.

When you say that Ajax forwards are trash, that de Ligt is bad and that de Jong was nothing special then you probably watched a different game yesterday. Or Juve is even worse, that depends on your point of view.

No, Juve wasn't disappointing, every die hard who watches enough games knew that it was our game, we always do bare minimum. And yeah, De Ligt was bad, he is slow, always loses position. And that Van De Beek guy was soooo bad, Tadic was well below average too, only Ziech looked good. If they played as well as advertised Ajax would score at least 3, wasted way too many chances.

De Ligt was bad... Well you are entitled to your own opinion

Yeah,I'm not a fan, but it says that psg can offer 50 for Bonucci and I'd rather have young DL than old Bon.

Leicester City sign Tielemans permanently for £40m.

That's a great signing, imo. He was fantastic for them, and it's good for the club that they were able to fend off some of Europe's titans in retaining him.

Griezmann to Barca official. De Ligt to Juve looks like it could be imminent as he's been left out of Ajax's training camp.

I heard Ajax want 70 mil straight and Juve only offers 60+10 mil of weird bonuses. Still a chance the deal won't go through. We are pretty stingy at times.

Haller to West Ham for 45m£

West Ham.... :banghead:

And Rebic already showed us that he has no intention playing any longer for Eintracht.
Well at least now we have the gazillions to complete that Hinteregger transfer...
