It is a lot of money as is the 100m for a 30 year old Kane.

Football is killing itself.

As excited as I am that Liverpool got Caicedo, it's disheartening to see Brighton a victim of its own success. Football fans lose when we don't get to watch teams like Brighton or Bielsa's Leeds or Leicester build around promising cores.
It's time for 5 refs.

Reports of a possible change of mind from Caicedo, maybe he’s waiting for Chelsea. We have ourselves a saga here lol, Southampton will benefit from this in one way. They know both teams are willing to pay £100ms for Caicedo, so whoever loses out will have to probably pay more than Southamptons evaluation for Lavia.

It wasn’t that long ago Klopp was criticising £100ms signings lol

klopp has always been a hypocrite. Thankfully he's a good coach.

It is and always has been impossible for us to hold onto players. The system is set up to keep the big teams big and the rest as feeder teams for the big teams. Leicester have had to sell a top player every year, just to remain solvent.

He's great, better than Rice, Rodri can't carry his boots, he's worth £250m easily...

False.

Any LFC fan saying that is only trying to make his or herself feel better. He was exactly what was needed to complete that midfield rebuild.

I do not understand how Chelsea can spend the amount it has and not violate either PL or FFP.

They are spreading payments over a long time (as long as 8 years) whilst sales get taken immediately into account. It's a stupid rway around the rules. hopefully they'll pay for it in 3 years time.

One of the most overrated frauds in football history. I remember a long time ago on here, there was a lot of debate about who would be the bigger talent, Neymar or Mario Gotze. While it looked absurd at the time, and still probably is when you compare their career outputs, I don't think anyone predicted that both would be also-rans by the time they hit 30.

The contract is insane, but that's expected. What is the transfer fee though?

Edit: 90m? Reasonable value for PSG, and you're not selling him to a euro rival. Futbol economy is ridiculous right now though, it's kinda scary.

Yup, and plus a lot of their sales have been academy products, which basically count as pure profit for FFP accounting purposes as I understand it. I imagine a lot of their projections involve consistent CL revenue, so there has to be an element of risk here (like with Barcelona). Still, the midfield pairing of Enzo and Caicedo is pretty incredible.

Wait, Chelsea are getting Olise too?

What the heck, man. They're just signing all the players at this point. That guy can really play.
