And sense prevailed. Just unfortunate these refs and VAR are not able to get these calls correct...

To me, they want a hierarchy with the match ref on top and VAR below it. It should, however, be seen as a team.

VAR refs, at the moment, are hesitant to overrule a call in fear of making the match ref look incompetent. They are hiding behind "clear and obvious" to back him.

To be honest, folks want match refs to go to the monitor more. If they are still incapable of deciding correctly, something has to give. I understand the subjectivity surrounding some fouls, but it's the blatant ones that are head scratching.

EDIT: Mike Dean, in an interview, has come out and stated he made a mistake in the Chelsea-Tottenham match a year ago -- Cucurella's hair was pulled. Dean was on VAR and stated he didn't want to send the match ref to the screen because of what had been going on in the game. He goes on to say he didn't want to set him up because he's his mate...

Like so many institutions in this country, the FA needs to be completely overhauled. Too many comfortable old boys at the helm creating a culture of ineptitude and decay, with a total lack of accountability.

Bournemouth are in trouble this year aren't they? Kluivert is decent though. Spurs should be out of site already.

Still not a fan of Richarlison.

Similar to Joao Felix and Cunha he just doesn’t pass the eye test for a player with his price tag.

More tomfoolery from the refs as this official told Saka to replace the football before his spot kick for no dang reason. Saka scores tho 1-1 here and 2-2 for United…goals from the two most likable players on that squad, Casemiro and Eriksen, and a red for forest with about 25 left.

Edit arsenal up 2-1. Always looked likely

Yeah, if not for a bit of bad luck at the beginning of the game and a couple of bad touches with great scoring opportunities...this easily could be 5-0 right now instead of 2-1.

He looks class. Strong, fast, reads the game well for his age, good decisions on the ball. He has all the attributes you'd want for a quality Premier League CB.

Thank you Big Ange for making Spurs enjoyable to watch again.

All of the new signings look great, too. Maddison is a magician.

Do we have to do this again?

Is this worthy of a red card?
