Nervous for today man!!

Losing in the ro16 with a final at Wembley at the end of the road would be painful. At least give it a good go!

They win the shootout!

Well they are an English team but they have a lot of international players including the goalie who saved 1 or 2 penalty kicks in the shootout?

Raya saves us

Nerves and lack of experience is a serious thing

I’m so scared of Portuguese teams they are hell. Well done to Porto.

Inter and Atleti would have us in that same chokehold lol.

Good that Arsenal have midweek fixtures and good for England's coefficient.

Arsenal vs. Inter would actually feature some lovely football. That would be a nice matchup for the quarters or semis.

Arsenal is the highest-scoring club in the PL this year, up to this point in the season.

Yet they could score only 1 goal vs. Porto in two matches.

Is Porto that much better than most other PL clubs?

Or is it a combination of strategy (maybe cynical football), experience (41-year old Pepe playing!) and maybe different officiating?

Think it was a mixture of things not in order

1. Nerves and a lack of experience from our guys in UCL knockout football
2. Porto so so well coached and brilliant 1 on 1 defence to lock down Saka and others. They were compact but also had the threat and quality to break out and hurt us so we couldn’t be our usual suffocate them in their final third self.
3. They broke up play and the flow of the game so well that was peak Jose , peak Simeone terrorism. The ball was probably in play for 50% of the 90 + 120 minutes lol
4. Think not having Martinelli makes our attack blunt and less explosive. Going to need him for the next round. He played in the first leg but it was an overly cautious leg

We need to improve considerably in our performance for next round. Attackers need to be more decisive.

**** Pepe. I despise him but he is simply built to play in big matches.

Well deserved from Arsenal and Barca.

I've got Inter advancing tonight but won't rule out a PSV upset
