Watching Rosetti brings back bad memories of Turkey-Croatia. He murders the flow of the game with his dumb foul calls and cards.

My condolences German friends but even they ll agree that they didnt deserve to win this game and the tournament. frankly, i expected lot more from Germany.

Spain was the best team from start to finish and fully deserved this, congrats Spain.

Boy, what an embarrassment. We were lucky not to lose 0-5 or 0-6. We got owned so badly that I physically feel butthurt. :( Torros totally controlled Mertesacker, Senna made Schweinsteiger his b****, Ballack sucuumbed to the brilliance of Xavi and Casillas was unemployed.

I will be very sad for about a day, but then, I will be proud once again of our "Mannschaft". Silver is not bad at all. But first, let's have a consolation beer...

I'm amazed Germany got as far as they did with their ridiculous inconsistency, not to mention how terrible Mario Gomez was... but that scene by Joan Capdevila at the end to take away a German scoring chance (which surely would have been a goal since Mario Gomez was no where near the ball) was pretty disgraceful.

And it sure would have been nice to see a Turkey/Russia 3rd place match. Too bad...

Congrats Spain

Well deserved trophy

I think it was obvious that Ballack was injured and got beat up during the game. Hes the key and we missed his leadership badly. The game was over when Löw subbed in Kuranyi: If you sub a in a striker, its Gomez no matter how bad he played this tournament. Not only has he played before in this tourney, he has sth called talent that Kuranyi only dreams of at night. Im not sure it makes sense to have three strikers versus Spain but thats another issue.
Löw got outcoached, in retroperpective it would have made much more sense to bring Ballack in the second half to give yourself a boost, he's too banged up to play 90 minutes. Overall Spain was clearly the better team with a deeper bench while our keyplayers looked tired during the game.

couldn't have said it any better. I was really hoping to see the equalizer in the last minutes but then again it really would have not been deserved. too bad the german soccer machine didn't work tonight.

the thing that boggles my mind the most is actually that I'm not pissed about that final. I'm just disappointed. really disappointed. I don't want to go that far to say that playing Ballack was the wrong decision but I actually believe that keeping him out of the game would have send a message to the other players to step up.

Congragts to Spain, they really deserve it and I have to admit that I really didn't want to see them winning. I actually dislike most of their players but they convinced me. they really deserved it.

I am still proud that GER won Silver, w/o a central defense and with only 1 real striker. For 2010, we desperately need a better central defense (Mertesacker/Metzelder are a joke compared to 2006), a better 2nd wing back next to Lahm (Friedrich is a central back and Jansen is so inconsistent), a 2nd creative midfielder next to Ballack (Toni Kroos??), and a solid 2nd striker next to Klose. The last part is especially sucky b/c Gomez was thought to be the solution, but boy how he bombed in this tourney.

But what the hell, Silver is not bad compared to what our dear neighbours England, France, Holland or Denmark did...

Can't believe Spain won. It was always 1/4's exit.

please, please, please. though he plays for bayern now I still could claim that he learned playing professional soccer with my favorite team hansa rostock!!!

regardless of that, we desperately need an offensive midfielder who can create tons of opportunities for our strikers. not that I think Ballack is bad in that department but the more games I see of him I think he's better suited in a real midfield role not just behind the strikers.

Spain outclassed Germany. Michael Ballack seemed severely off his game. What I thought was the most appalling by the Germans is their set pieces were garbage!

meh, kind of boring game, had it's moments in the 1st half and some during the 2nd half when germany seemed to react.

but spain dominated the rythm of the game, aragonés knew when to make the subs and they worked for him.

it was a well deserved tournament for spain, they were the best team, the most balanced team.

too bad the euro finished, it has been maybe the best tournament i've ever watched.

Deserving victory for a team with all that talent and like someone else pointed out, this is my favourite international tournament since I started watching football and its a victory for attacking football and all the players, managers and fans that support that notion.

Congrats to Spain and well deserved. Germany never even had a remote chance to win in the Finals. Total domination by a great Spain team.

Very important the fact of not take a player like Raul, Spain won because of team chemistry, no leader but a lot of talent. Raul is egoist, he did complain to be a sub in the last world cup and was a troublemaker. what a great decision by Luis Aragones. And he is no racist btw, don't believe every piece of crap the press write.

Also Albelda is a really bad player if you compare him with the current form of Senna.
