Bynum maybe gone for season?

Post#1 » by asubennett » Mon Jan 14, 2008 4:41 am

Offtopic. Looked as if Bynum tore his ACL tonight. Anybody else see it. Tell tale side to side wobble. Hopefully nothing serious but we could see the 30 shot Kobe on Thursday if this is true.

THis sucks. I wanted revenge against a full strength roster.

I didn't see it, but from the accounts of many Laker fans, I'm thinking its a sprain. Maybe 4-6 weeks TOPS, maybe 1-2 at best.

Yeah from what I've heard it's a sprain. But that's just guesses from fans. Guess we'll find out tomorrow. Hopefully it's not too bad, he's been blowin' up this season.

It didn't look so bad when it happened so...I hope it's just a sprain, and he will be good to go after 2-3 weeks rest. At worse, it's an ACL tear and we're talking about season ending...either way, no one knows anything about it until tomorrow he gets MRI.

He's fine. They said on their post game. He was walking around on it, little pain.

I'm certain he'll be out Thursday vs. us though..that sucks.

Going to take a monstrous effort from the rest of the Lakers to beat you guys regardless of where the game is.

Official report is 8 weeks, he's already planning his rehab. Hopefully our squad can stay afloat while he's out.

He almost had what Livingston of the Clippers had something about his knee cap moving to the out side of his knee.

Yep. Thats a genetic problem where the knee cap doesnt stay in the grooves of the thigh bone. He will probably have to use a heavy brace for a long time if not forever to make sure that cap doesnt explode off to the side like Livingstons does.

Mental image:
Coach: "Hey Bynum, how ya doin'?"
Bynum: "Good, just doing some free throws."

This is a break for the SUNS on Thursday with Hill out (won't be surprised if Hill returns Thurs).

Will be interesting to see how the Lakers endure without him.

Going on my 14th hour of work today slaving over the same spreadsheet, that made me inhale Coke Zero into my nose and spit some out on my keyboard. Way to go.

Hope the big guy is back sooner than later.

You won't be surprised if Hill returns? Dude, he's out for 3 weeks haha. With his history of being injured all the time, he won't rush back from such a simple injury.

They won't, but Phx may wind up playing them in the 1st round again with Bynum. That's a drain even if Phx should win.
