I’ve watched a lot of the NFL this year and I really love football, but I can say for sure that the NBA is so much more exciting because of the scoring. I mention the NFL because their scoring is way down this year and it’s making it pretty boring to watch.

Do you not recall some of the absolutely ridiculous scoring games from the 80's? That kind of stuff was fairly common and probably due to a lack of zone defense but without the emphasis on chucking threes. That stuff was mostly twos and free throws.
