Every time I watch Sabonis play, it makes me think of what could have been had Jones had the stones to be straight up with Sarver and cut our loss in Ayton while he was still somewhat high on the value scale.

While it didn't happen and I'm more than content in what we did get in Nurkic, Allen, and Little... man, one can armchair GM and ponder.

Sabonis is absolutely abused on defense in certain matchups that would hurt in the playoffs. Nurkic may too. I regret other more obvious moves way more. Jones should've been fired years ago

Undoubtedly. I've long said that Jones is nothing more than a "yes" man and that his role is a figurehead and not much else. His EotY award was a joke and wasn't deserved no matter how badly some feel about it. Dude is not what we need, but honestly neither is Ishbia to this point. We need a real GM who has full autonomy and an owner willing to give it to him.

I think passing on Haliburton was the worse move.

Sabonis just folds in the playoffs but I much prefer him over what we got in Nurkic.
