Saben Lee news and highlights

Saben Lee is signed to a two-way contract.

I like him a lot. I think that Washington is more talented and a better shooter but Saben is more a team player and better defender.

He reminds me of Eric Snow, smaller but more athletic. Obviously not as good as him for now but you get the idea.

As a curiosity, I read somewhere that he has a Phoenix tatoo.

Haven't seen it myself but a little digging into his background and it makes sense. He grew up in Phoenix and played ball in HS there too.

Good for him, I like him far better than Washington Jr.

Nice read about Saben Lee here.
I hope he is on the team next year.

Give me one Saben Lee over three Shamet’s. The kid has a knack for the game might not be a great player but understands his role which makes him expandable. Maybe in a few years he can have a breakout season like Cam Payne had?

I would love to sign him on a two-way deal again next year and if he plays well enough we can sign for an official roster spot like James Jones did to Wainright.

Lee scored 9 points, grabbed 4 boards and assisted twice. But only issue last night was his shooting at 33%. :(

He’s better than Payne right now. If he gets a consistent 3 pt shot he’s a starting caliber pg.
Nice pickup James Jones. Jones spends a lot of time bargain hunting. He works really hard finding those discounted g league level players. He finally found one in Saban Lee.

I mean in terms of his contract restrictions. I can't remember if they've amended the rule where 2-ways could play in the playoffs. Originally they couldn't and then during covid they allowed it but I'm not sure if they've reverted back or not

Always an Aztec! Awesome to have Saben Lee show up to watch tonight's game! It's so great to see him living his dream in the NBA, and we were so happy he took some time during the All Star Break to come by for a visit. #stud #bleedorange #GoSuns

Saben Lee's given us some pretty good minutes with Booker out. The 2nd unit looks more cohesive when he is running it. Didn't really expect that at all but I think he's earned himself a spot on the roster with his play in the past week

Dude just keeps the ball moving. Doesn't always make the right decision but he makes quick decisions, either making a move to the basket or passing it off. Dude is just energy.

Worth pointing out, over his last 8 games, he's had 17 assists to only 2 turnovers and those 2 are from the Detroit game. Basically he's had 7 games straight without a turnover. Also has a net rating of +1.4 over these last 8 games and as an end of bench 2way guy, that's really all you're asking for.
