What a joke...but the most important thing out of this game was that we know for sure that Nurkic can bother Jokic on both ends of the floor.

Nurkic plays with a chip on his shoulder against Jokic and that is gonna be huge in the playoffs.

I'll eat crow and give Nurkic his props since he's really been stepping it up as of late.

If we do end up facing the Nuggets the one good matchup is going to be against Jokic since he's never been very quick or agile.

Worst case matchup in the playoffs would probably if we face the Lakers and a healthy AD, I think the Wolves with Gobert could be trouble for him as well.

Connections between him and Kevin is awesome

I think that playing alongside Kevin ( and Devin but he miss some matches ) makes him better player.

If Ayton wants he can play on post but he want make jump shot from midrange than fighting in the post, Nurkic doesn’t fear dirty but with rules basketball playing.

In additional he can makes threes so he can be stretch five.

Definitely I prefer him and Grayson or Ayton. We look better

An interesting anecdote is that Nurkic has made already 15 dunks in 20 games so far this season.

Last year in 52 games ... 21 dunks.

First 10 games he was also like a top 3 (and I think briefly #1) rebounder in the league. Still 7th in the league so there's only 6 guys who are better rebounders which is good but that was 1 of the 2 stats (along with the aforementioned steals) the stans were holding onto.

Props to Nurkic

"I learned in this league when you respond to some **** like that, you're getting fined. So you're getting the penalties ... I'm too valuable for this team to get in foul trouble or getting techs or getting kicked out." Jusuf Nurkic on Draymond Green incident.

That’s a good and sophisticated answer by Nurk shows his intellect. Meanwhile, Ayton would have replied to this situation something like “ I’m DomiAyton and I ain’t afraid of Draymond”. Nurk is an amazing human being, husband, father, person, and I adore him extremely.

Nurk is likely the best fighter in the NBA given his size, his genes (dad was a heavyweight boxer) and the fact he's Bosnian.

He could crush Draymond in a fight but we're lucky he's far too sensible to do anything like that. It's just basketball.

Draymond is a punk and they should give him like 10 games for that.

it's interesting but last night with Nurk balling out to 17/13/7 and Jokic getting ejected, when was the last time Nurk has had a better game than Joker on a night when both played?

James Johnson is likely the leagues best real fighter. 6'7 240 and has actually fought in kickboxing/MMA matches.

But yeah I think Nurk could have rag dolled Draymond if he wanted to. Happy he didn't the suns need every healthy body right now.

Nurkic is playing well since putting forth effort on defense but we absolutely have to knock off the late game post ups. A Nurkic post up is one of the least efficient plays possible and we have 3 all star creators on the court.

I heard the league is about to make an example out of Draymond and ban him for two years without pay.

The problem as I see it is they're running clear outs on those post ups every single time. It's too predictable and teams are collapsing hard on him - I'm talking 2-3 guys sometimes.

Until we starting running some cutters to take advantage of the clear lane they're never going to unlock it. Everything can't be post up or pass out to the 3pt line. I fkn hate this Kevin Young offense man. If he knew what he was doing it would be Nurk hitting KD, Beal, or Book getting into the lane.

Also when we do this -- NOBODY of the other 4 guys on the court crashes the glass, even when we are down late and there aren't many possessions left, and even if their matched up defender leaves to help out.

We have Nurkic who shoots a low % for a big guy posting up (the least efficient play in basketball is a post up) with a 0% chance of rebounds. It's very, very stupid basketball that is emblemetic of how terrible this coaching staff is.

Part of Nurk's problem (as I see it) is he's not decisive enough on what move he's going to when in the post. The times he's decisive you can see it and rarely are most defenders able to stop it because he's a mountain of a man.

If they do this, the Warriors are CHEERING

I had a look at his salary and he's only in his first year of a 4yr $100m deal. He still has $78m left on his contract after this season and if he's banned for 2 years without pay, that would significantly help out the Warriors financially.

I highly doubt it though. I think it'll be more like a 25 game suspension or something.

Nah I highly doubt they would ban him for 2 years when someone like Miles Bridges wasn't even banned for that long for his domestic abuse charges. He got 2 games for his last infraction so something under 10 games is pretty fair if you ask me.
