14 / 15 with 4 offensive boards and a +6. With no PG or team member who is feeding him.

If he was on this suns team . He would be putting up a lot better numbers.

But he chose a young team who will likely miss playoffs for next 3-4 years. Was it worth leaving a contender and restarting by playing with bunch of rookies who don’t know how to win yet? Ayton is wasting another 4 years by moving backwards instead of forward.

People saying he has a WOOF game when he has 14 pts on 77.7% shooting and 15 rebounds? It was a close game too...so not sure what junk rebounds means.

But I guess we've heard that Ayton only gets uncontested rebounds that bounce right to him and now they are all in garbage time. Everyone else in the NBA gets very hard contested rebounds. Ayton's rebounds are a lot worse I guess. So are his baskets. They shouldn't even count for 2.

did you watch the game? It really wasnt that close. To be fair he got a couple put backs that helped them get within a few buckets but the game was never really in jeopardy. I think Ayton supporters will really never be able to let go of the numbers. I get it the numbers are there but the eyetest is an F. Tonight it went from an F to a C because he did have a decent last half of the 4th.
I hate this team.

Yeah, I watched the full forth quarter, Ayton was stuck with 8 points & 7 reb but in last half a quarter he managed to finish with 14/15 in pretty much garbage time when Magic lead by 8+ points. It never seemed like Blazers were going to win they were down the whole game.

Ayton: Post Suns Haters

Ayton has not attempted a free throw in his first two games. Pretty crazy when he’s the highest paid player on the team. That stat tells me a lot.

I saw the game today. He just looks so lost. Portland players don’t even look for him. It will be worse as the season goes on and Portland is playing for a top pick. I wonder when realization sets in for him that he had something really good in Phoenix.

I cannot wait for the HBO show based on Ayton's life.

It's mostly going to be obsessed RealGM dudes furiously typing on their phones, a Bahamian-American actor dancing with porn stars, a crazy CP3 losing his **** on the bus and then breaking down in the playoffs, and a lot of GM's hanging up the phone.

No I did not, because I don't really care about watching them. They are not a team that interests me much, and I don't care about Ayton like you do.

I have seen a lot of eye test of Ayton. I know what he is. But I also know tonight that the box score does tell me they outscored the Magic by 6 when he was on the floor, he had 15 boards and he shot 7-9 from the field, or 77.7%.

White his starting teammates shot 4-14 (1-5 from 3), 9 for 23 (4-11 from 3) and 3 for 12 (1-5 from 3). They lost by 5.

Now I'm sure Ayton had his moments he didn't look super energetic, especially since you were likely particularly focused on him, and not anyone else (though I'm sure they all had tons of energy).

Anyway, deducing from the box score you can still tell that Ayton was far from the biggest problem on that team tonight. There other starters shot 25%, 28%, 0% and 39% from the floor and 6/21 from 3 (slightly over 20%), while Scoot, Sharpe and Grant had 11 turnovers between them.

Brogdon came off the bench to go 6-15 from the field, or 30%, and Camara 0-4.

Looks like a lot of people had WOOF games. Since you watched, you can say Ayton did, but still it appears like most everyone else on the team was worse. RWIII had 6 pts and 3 reb in 20 minutes. Ayton with 14 and 15 in 30.

I don't think putting in tips at the end to get you closer when you end up losing by 5 is worse than scoring a few points in the first quarter or something. If anything, the pressure is a lot higher then.

Sunsbum - biggest Ayton stan, keeps following him. As someone probably considered in the Aytonholics camp for saying DA had his good moments with the Suns, I'm yet to watch a single minute of a Blazers game. There are more interesting teams to watch if Suns are not playing.

Yes, it was 83-82 and the Magic went on a 14-2 run as the Wagner bros scored 11 straight points after Cole Anthony nailed a 3. Ayton came in midway through the 4th. He did hit a shot to cut it from 13 to 11, then another to cut it from 8 to 6 and another to cut it from 7 to 5. It was a close game until the Magic run, but the the Blazers had their 11-3 run to cut it back down to 5..but then they failed with Sharpe getting blocked and Grant turning it over down the stretch.

Yeah, I watched a little bit of the Blazers when flipping through games the other night and they were not a good team to watch. Discombobulated. They seem to have no offense. It's like street ball. I would much rather watch other games, or something on streaming.

It wasn't a horrible game from Ayton. He could have done better of course but I don't think you can focus on one player an entire game and not come away with plays where they didn't make the right plays every time.

After watching this game I think Ayton is probably not going to get many plays drawn for him so he needs to focus on crashing the boards and going after the offensive rebound and cleaning up missed shots under the rim. They need a CP3 type of player to run the offense efficiently and I don't think Brogdan is really that player although the team plays a lot better with him on the floor.

Yeah, until they work on plays to run a pick and roll or something and spread the floor (which it seems they would have worked on in training camp and the preseason), he won't get many shots. Only 1 of his shots was assisted tonight.

Just checked box-scores. Scoot with 2a/5to. Yeah I think Ayton prefers to be in Indiana with Hali right now. Not saying DA will become a monster there, but 20/10 on good efficiency is very likely and not bad at all. Also Simons apparently injured so Blazers will be bad and not worth watching if one lives outside Portland.

I’ve always wondered why DA has these dedicated stans. Serious question. It cannot be his game. Or his personality. Is it some kind of following related to college? Or are there a lot of Bahamian people? That would be the one I would understand. I’ve seen tons of people defending Campazzo to this day just because he is from here

I really don’t get the dedication these people have to this very ordinary player who was a huge mistake in Suns history.

Well, fans usually stick for their countryman and team players. I don't think so called Ayton stans have been unreasonably outside of 2-3 who were just trolling because of all the hate the guy was/is getting.

I’m not a Stan at all . I just hate people crying and hating on him. He helped our team get to an nba final! He was a big part in some of the wins! I respect that.

Players I don’t like that played for suns are criss, morris twins, jackson. That’s about it. The others I don’t mind

Return to Phoenix Suns
