We were down like 11 with 2 minutes left and didn't even think about pressing the defense. Got back in it cause blazers are bad, but like... Down 3 with 30 seconds and don't press? Wtf.

I hate to say "I told you so" when most of the board here was hyped for the KD trade but I called it from the beginning.

We gave away far too much for KD and it's biting us in the ass now. Zero cohesion, no defense and an injury ridden team. We (Ishbia) dug in with this move by trading for an injured an untradeable Beal leaving us with very little flexibility when it comes to trades to improve the team.

Do we do pick swaps on the 2024 pick?

There is a pick swap with Grizz and with Morant back they probably pass Suns in the standings in a month or two. With Wizards I hope we are safe.

Can Ishbia buy another team just to give us some picks back?

Times are still to look a bit desperate

emotionally i am pretty much over this team and have been for a bit, dont see much chance of them seriously competing for much more than the 6th seed and an early playoff exit, saddest part of it for me is all those years where chemistry seemed positive and the team genuinely seemed to like each other are long gone

So much whiplash and throwback
At least in the McD era we could pretend we were young, up and coming with lots of shots to take.

Alas, putting up the same effort as this team, not even trying to find the OG Suns version of this:

Edit: ok can't even post a gif, didn't mean to go this low effort

I've been pretty pessimistic most of the time too. You probably mean my optimism about Beal playing more than 3 games out of 20. I'd have to sincerely apologise for that to you.

Don't see the people who thought breaking the bank for injury prone aging superstars is a good idea though.

Alright my apologies then we definitely on the same page on the last part.

Realistically if we were to trade KD, how many picks could we get back? Who would trade for him?

I think Vogel has to be fired in the next 5 games. This team needs a wake up call and while it's a lot of money to sink into him this clearly is not a workable situation

"I don't like the speculation about Ishbia's mistake in letting go of Cameron Johnson and Bridges. The team needed a superstar, and without one, we can't expect more than a playoff exit in the West.
Ishbia and the front office's big error is not reinforcing the team with a playmaker. It goes against basketball logic, and our sport is punishing us hard .
There's also a gap between the coach and players regarding defense. Vogel is playing a game beyond his strengths without defensive elements. This needs to be corrected immediately."

not sure who you are quoting here, but i was against that trade at the time it was made, so our ceiling with younger healthier players and all our future picks is about what is now without a future and somehow that's a bad thing? not to mention that was a far more likable and fun to watch team, at least for me

My son came back from the game and had some interesting (to me anyway) observations

1-Ayton is weak and indecisive.
2-Billups is awful
3-There are 3-4 guys worth keeping on POR
4-KD makes everything look easy (the greats always do)
5-PHX really needs a full time playmaker.

Sure you already know all this already, just his observations as s former HS ball player.

"I think you will also like this year's team when it starts winning. Currently, all its dysfunctions are apparent. We are missing essential components of this team to have a complete picture.

Durant and Booker will lead us to a championship

ain’t bringing back Mikal. So let’s gamble and try for the benders, Chris’s and Jackson’s
I hate this team.
